My idea for "So far"

So far (not so good)
In this song, Em will take us to a view of his career, implying that not everything was perfect.
He'll go through his trajetory in the rap game and the expose the flaws in it, also talking about how he wants to finish it and be remembered in the future.
The title is about that setence: So far, so good. It's only "so far" because it wasn't so good, lol

Stop being pessimistic, you lost your excitement because you're scared the album's gonna be bad. You shouldn't, dude. We know almost nothing about it, we just have assumptions and we make conclusions out of it. Trust me, Em knows what the fuck he's doing.

Jesus, calm down, it will be at least a good album. It's going to be far from Recovery imo

Exactly. Im pretty sure Em's smart enough to know what naming an album after a classic like MMLP means, he wouldn't do a shitty album and name it after a classic.

Rap God - It'll be about Em starting poor as fuck... then Dre put him on & makes him big... then he's on top of the world & puts his own group & 50 on the map & next to him on top of the world etc. etc.

Or maybe just pick up where Almost Famous left off. He ended with "being famous" and maybe this is in the likes of that song but instead of 'starting to rap then finally making it' more of a 'beginning of career to biggest rapper ever' type narrative.

It might be... good call but I think it's gonna really be MMLP-esque & Dre is gonna be in the picture.

I agree, I'm betting the album is good, but a big departure from the MMLP. And I'm worried it's his excuse to never go back to MMLP again. He's going to make it very clear with this album. And from here on out, we'll just get Recovery and songs that sell in the mainstream. For the rest of his career, Rihanna will be on his songs. MMLP 2 is his way of saying good bye to the Shady character. Something that makes lots of us extremely sad and misled.

At the end of the day Eminem is tired of getting bashed and he wants to prove a point to all of us. I think this is the wrong thing to do. He's making this album to take pressure off himself, and so that everyone knows he'll never come back to the Real Shady. Not because he's grown up, (though that's his excuse) but because he can't hack it anymore.

And then Interscope convinced him to start teasing uz with the cover, name, and blonde hair to get sales. The real fans will hate this.

You're right. Eminem's just going to be honest about how he doesn't have it in him anymore. No wonder there's no interviews.

That's probably what Royce meant when he said he wasn't sure how people are going to react to some of the things on this album...

A lot of 'real fans' hated Recovery, so Eminem can't win with you all.
