I've been an Eminem fan for over 12 years since I was 8 years old and like it's a really bad obsession but anyway, even though Rap God is getting a lot of love I still feel as though it's underrated. I've only listened to it maybe 85 times or so but as of now it has actually come somewhere in the top 10 a Eminem songs of all time for me. The lyrics, multiple flows, references, and word play are crazy. I catch something new every single time. This is such an original song as well, no other song he's ever done sound like this. The way the chorus slightly changes each time to keep it fresh and then transitions into each new verse is crazy. The whole song is amazing and I finally have that feeling I used to get like damn, he's still got it. I like both Survival and Berzerk for different reasons and have listened to both well over 150 times each (every time a new Eminem song comes out I keep it on repeat for days and that's all I do) but tbh they're both quite mediocre in terms of Eminem and what I hoped for. Rap God is exactly what I wanted, him to go crazy and prove he's still got it. A part of me wishes he released this as a Despicable type hype song right after the album was announced but I'm just glad I got it and have high hopes for this album.
CALLED IT!
