I could genuinely imagine Kendrick spitting that line.

Although, he's not a brilliant punchline rapper either, lol.

There are a few lines that I personally don't like very much or don't think are very creative. The cake line is one of them. The F-Bomb line is one. The maxi pad line is one. The massacre/church gathering line is one. The Doberman line is one. I'm sure there are more, but he still manages to keep me completely entertained for six whole minutes which is quite impressive.

For me this song was all about his technical rapping abilities. It would have been amazing if every line was 100% on point, it could have been one if his best. But I still enjoy it very much for what it is. I just hope it's the only one like it on MMLP2. I won't appreciate it so much if all his songs are like this.

And it's honestly his best women bashing line since Recovery. Plus he says it and moves on instead of going on and on about it like usual. Very refreshing.

He's had some solid ones like...all of them on "Symphony In H" as well as the one punch on "Hello Good Morning (Remix)" when he says: "Yeah, a knee to the gut, that's the only way I'll say I need you". :worship:

I didn't even know about that remix... definitely checking it out now.

Both the lemon/lemonade line and the batter/cake line go together. I.had thought it was obvious
If life gives you lemons( bad stuff ) make lemonades( good stuff ) but if I can't batter the women( bad stuff ) how am I supposed to bake them a cake( good stuff ) then?
If life gives you bad stuff, turn it into good. But if he can't do the bad stuff, how is he supposed to make it into something good then? All the while going along with the food metaphor.
Brilliant.

And the maxi-pad line was a dig at Canibus. Also thought that would be obvious but hey, haters gonna hate.
But what I don't understand is what Kanye Stans are doing in a discussion about lyricism.

Yeah it sucks.

There are a few god awful parts of this song.

It's like eating the best apple ever grown, but finding a rotten spot here and there you have to eat around.

Where did this faggot come from?

This line would have been cool if he'd just said something like "But if I never battered any women how the fuck would I have made so much cake then?" As a reference to all the money he has made from mysoginistic lyrics

Hmm I agree with Kaniff. Decent bar. There were way worse lines tbh (Cornrolls, laptop, Fbombs.. etc)
But they don't hurt the song as much as they would like on recovery because the dope flow n delivery.

Oh really faggot? Thanks for pointing that out. Let me return the favour and point out the obvious for you. He has lines about battery ("my life's like kinda what my wife's like. What? Fucked up after I beat her fucking ass every night", etc.) which are mysoginistic.

Get it now?

Jesus man, just drop it.
Of course domestic violence/wife battery doesn't mean you hate the entire sex (misogyny) but whatever, you win.

Who cares???

I'm more concerned that the line itself was whack. Same with the cornrows line.
