Honestly guys, this guy is literally the most honest and the best music reviewer on YouTube. And while i don't agree with him on this review he makes it clear in all of his reviews he's an open book and that it's just his opinion it's not an absolute and he believes that everyone should have their own opinion.

I've never seen a video where I could agree with him. That guy was saying Bastard is one of the GOAT hip hop albums or something. C'mon man :shakehead:

I'd like to see Deadendhiphop guys review it

Definitely. I sometimes agree with Anthony Fantano, and I appreciate his honesty (it's very obvious that he's passionate about music) but sometimes he tends to be very narrow-minded about his selection of music which more often than not is full of hipster experimental bullshit.

And DeadEndHipHop are the best reviewers when it comes to rap imo. While Needledrop tends to review everything and not just rap, DEHH are very into rap/hip-hop and always do their best not to be biased. They gave a fantastic review of TMR and HTS. Mike C Town is fucking hilarious :laughing:

Look at this reviewer trying to stay relevant by calling Eminem's latest songs dated.

This guy has no idea what he's talking about.

He called the part about being rubber "school yard rhymes". :laughing: The schemes on that part totally flew past his head.

Couple points;

He basically says what some other detractors have said, which is that the song lacks content. Well first of all the track is called Rap God.. it's a show-off song. That's obvious the moment the song begins. And there is content in the song - apparently he didn't notice it. Em touches on a number of topics... including, uh Columbine?

His thoughts on the 'corny punch lines' is his opinion-- I don't find anything here overly corny, and what rapper doesn't write corny verses here and there? Tell me one?

Then he says he doesn't like the beat, again that's subjective - I love the beat / track and it looks like an overwhelmingly majority like it too.

While I obviously disagree with him, I think a lot of eminem fans are overly biased and will verbally attack any detractors. I'll drop the bomb, Rap God is not the greatest eminem song ever or the greatest rap song. It's damn good, but people are allowed to not like it :smoking:

Rap God is fucking filled with content. He makes some pretty fucking self-aware statements in the song.

This guy paints himself as reasonable, fair, balanced.. yet can't even properly comprehend the lyrics he uses as examples for his criticisms.

You can't be credible if your argument relies heavily on misinterpretation or faulty logic. Doesn't matter what tone you choose to use or if you preface it as "just your opinion" and shrug a bunch of times on camera like you're innocent of fault since you're being so "fair" about it.

Was going to pick the thing apart but decided it's not worth the effort.
