Love the song for the most part. Chorus use to make me cringe though, one of his worst attempts at singing imo

The hook is the most annoying part of the song, but still prefer it over Difficult, that track should have never leaked.

The hook is kind of embarrassing. Of all the songs with female hooks, this one would have been better with it. Em sounds gay on this one IMO. Not a fan of the song. I respect the meaning but the song just doesn't work for me.

Wouldn't criticize it when I thought Sobernem was infallible. Now that I realize he really doesn't know what he's doing anymore, I wonder whether he picked that shitty beat on purpose or if he actually thought it was good...and whether or not the horrible singing was a joke between he and Proof's ghost or not.

D

Ems said about the track:
"I guess as long as the emotion is there... But it was one of those moments on the record where I feel like, 'OK, I finally did Proof some kind of justice by being able to put that together and dump my heart on the record,'" "It was one of those things that when it got towards the end of the record, I really didn't even care about making the rhyme crazy, I just wanted it to say it."

I guess that pretty much matches with your analysis about bad beats etc and the emotion
Because, I forgot the chorus
But that's okay cause y'all saying bust a rhyme for us

I actually love his verses and flow on this one but the chorus is a bit cringe worthy. It definitely wasnt one of his best singing efforts.
