Meaning it wouldn't have had a place if it weren't for the CoD partnership.


Well, I mean, maybe it wasn't forced on him like you're suggesting. Maybe Em himself wanted to make the connection or Paul persuaded him. I doubt COD actually had too much to do with it except using it in their game.

Survival was made after he saw footage of the gameplay, he didn't write it because he felt like it, it was strictly for the CoD game.

Let's wait and see, though. I think it's gonna be the odd one on the album tbh


What is wrong with Survival, anyway? Lyrically it's dope. Production is better than Recovery imo and the hook is bearable. Like people REALLY don't want this on the album even though the lyrics match the idea and mentality of MMLP 2 quite well.

IIRC, Survival wasn't written for C.O.D. I seem to remember "each more anthemic sounding than the last" which implies an original, not-as-anthemic version.
Still like Survival, btw.
