Labtop in my back pocket line

I thought it was a witty line. "They say I rap like a robot, I guess it's in my jeans. I got a laptop in my back pocket."

I loved how he used the word jeans or genes. But someone on here didn't like the laptop line. Was eminem making fun of the new iPhone generation and YouTube rappers? Because if so that's a brilliant line. It's something a rapper these days would say. It's like eminem is getting called a robot but saying look at you, ur a slave to your phone and a robot yourself. I'm not a fan of the new iPhone and social media generation.

I thought it was funny. In comparison to the beat-drop, really obvious "punch" everybody hates it was just a little bit of wordplay that kickstarted the rhyming. That was one of many things I liked about the song. It was heavier on wordplay and lighter on "punchlines" if you know what I mean.

But like u said it was also funny and I'm gonna take it as a slight jab at this new generation which makes it more funny since kids these days who listen to rap r like robots

He also sounds so bad ass there. I love the 'computer voice' before he says that line though, pretty awesome little detail.

I love the computer voice too, but just to clarify that line was for fun, I don't think he really feels proud of having a phone. I thought he was making fun and also word playing.

It's a shoddy/lazy line. Because having a laptop in his backpocket doesn't therefore imply the laptop is in any way connected to rap or rapping... there's no connect between the laptop being there and the feedline... it's literally just a pun with gene/jeans and a lazy connection with laptop, probably for the sake of the 'backpocket' rhyme.

Surprisingly lazy line to open the song with given the standard of the rest (or most of) the lyricism.
