Personally, I'm more impressed with a rhyme if they match syllables. Nine times out of ten it flows better anyway. There are a lot of lines I cringe at because they don't match up that would be great lines otherwise. From my perspective, it's like they couldn't come up with rhymes that matched syllables so they were like "fuck it" and put it in anyway.

An example of lines that would be sweet as fuck to me but is taken down a peg when I notice the syllables are off:
(Eminem in the 2010 Tim Westwood Freestyle)
"As sick as I'm getting they'll put me in a conventional oven with a rotisserie setting and won't even notice me sweating."

"Sick as I'm getting" you can say goes with (ro)tisserie setting. "Notice me sweating" is too short to match "rotisserie setting" and the rhyme itself doesn't go with "Sick as I'm getting"/"(ro)tisserie setting"

It's personal taste, really. From a rhyming perspective it has the potential to be as sweet as he intended it, but it falls kind of short when analyzed like this. From a non-rhyming perspective the lines are sweet as fuck.

^I completely understand what you mean about rappers possibly being lazy, but more often than not I feel it's just that they preferred it (for whatever reason) the way they release it. 'Cause, let's go with your example of Eminem's verse, "notice me sweating" as it doesn't rhyme with "sick as I'm getting" or "(ro)tisserie setting" could have easily been changed to "witness me sweeting". For me to be able to think of that better matching rhyme and Eminem not would be surprising.

Multi is short for “multi-syllable rhyme.” Multis are phrases in which more than one syllable rhymes. Multis can be double, triple, quadruple (etc…) rhymes.

Normal rhyme: cat / hat
Multi rhyme: my cat / hi-hat

most examples say multis are just more then one syllable rhyming

they don't have to match in syllable count

and u don't have to rhyme most of the syllables in the bar like mf doom or each syllable like some people think they just have to be more then one syllable and actually rhyme slant rhymes are accepetable
but just rhyming the syllable sound isn't enough in order for it to be considered a rhyme in the technical sense it has to have both the same syllable sound and similar consonants that is what slant rhyming is imo
