Singer Bebe Rexha Talks Co-Writing "The Monster"

I'm not hating it. I even like Rihanna. The thing is that I don't like listening to really popular songs.
When this morning I told this girl in my class (she's a classic casual Em fan) that he had a new song with Rihanna coming out on 28th the first thing she said was "Oh nice! There's Rihanna, it's gonna be great!".
Do you see my point? If this song will be a single it will probably be a huge hit, and I don't want to be mistaken for a trend-follower whore when I listen to it in public (like with LTWYL, which is a great song but you basically never catch a real Em fan listening to it).
If he just had let the Bebe sing HER OWN song it would be better for everybody. Em would still have his hit (just less popular), I would be able to listen to this song in public without looking like a MTV puppet like most of my generation, and most of all, Bebe Rexha would have her carreer skyrocketed (*cough* *cough* Dido *cough*).
But no, Rihanna must be on it. Why? Maybe Interscope? I don't even know. Fuck it.
And also, RiRi I love you, but damn, write your own hooks please, don't steal people's work.

I don't like that he but Rihanna, because it feels like he's using her popularity, which is a thing I don't like to feel that Eminem is doing, he is big enough he can make unknown person a Rihanna, like he did with Dido.

I know what you mean, but there are so many different ways to same the same thing to make it sound new and fresh, especially from Eminem, the guy has talked about everything. If it was going to sound like the same shit he has done before, I don't think he would have done it, that's where Eminem's creativeness comes in.

I'm not really sure what is meant by "the monsters inside of us" description of the song. I just hope that this isn't a LTWYL part 3 type song or anything about that subject. Maybe, The Monster will be the Slim Shady side of him, kind of like what I'm expecting from Evil Twin.
