Damn, it’s been a while since I last released an issue and now we’re on #12. Welcome. As I’m writing this I’m not sure if #11 ever got released but hey, at least it had a dope cover. A lot of things have changed on TR, a lot of things have not. Some members have come, some members are gone and it is what it is.
What’s excting is that this issue is accompanied by the release of MMLP2 which means album-hype time. Unfortunately, and I don’t know if it’s just me but I think things were much better when Recovery was about to drop; maybe it’s the retarded layout that was outdated even then but now moreso than ever. Thank you TR, you little piece of shit I hope you break a rib or something as you login from your Iphone 1 for the 3rd time in the past decade, or that maybe you’ll be in your car and a truck will hit you real hard. You won’t get a RIP from me – that’s for sure. Just fuck you, alright? Fuck you.

Before we get into this, shout-out to Painkillah my man (check out his shout-out slash retiring thread here - viewtopic.php?f=29&t=165350) who was kind enough to drop a motherfucking awesome interview and bless us with a bit of his coolness. On that note, I present to you:
#1 Painkilla my man, what's been good? I gotta say that you're like my favorite member in here (of course along with the other family people like dR3, dead prez, Trex, Lello etc) and I'm very glad that this interview is finally getting done. Let's start with how you discovered TRShady and your beginnings as one of the coolest guys in here?
Haha, likewise brother. Wish you had just a little more time to spend here and talk with all of us. Anticipating MMLP2, really curious to see what exactly EM is up too. Anyway, I used to have some drawings up on DeviantART and some guy gave me some feedback on this Eminem drawing I had and ask me if I new of TRShady and I didn't so he said I should join and that it's a cool place. So I did, initially I thought the forum was pretty shitty, looked really ugly, people seemed to be extremely defensive, it was really discouraging so I would just lurk. Later on I decided on joining, it was cool, people like Trimss and Amaranthine were pretty helpful and made the transition a little easier. Eventually became good friends with many of them and I think they like me lol idk I would like to think I'm a likeable person.
#2 Your current avatar is Breaking Bad affiliated. How do you like that show? I'm at season 1 right now, jumped on the bandwagon quite late, and it's damn awesome. If you include any spoilers in your answer, give us a note first.
Aw shit man, the show is fucking fantastic. Not gonna write any spoilers. Anybody who hasn't seen or heard of it, I highly recommend it. Usually tv series end leaving me unsatisfied, but this show ended on a great not, beautiful. Seriously goddamn, watch it.
#3 Assuming you have a type of girl that you like the most, how would you describe her?
Smart, not afraid to show her nerdy side. Open personality. Got a real sense of style, classy look, with a natural beauty, kinda like Jessica Alba or Shakira, including body and all haha.
#4 Tell us a random High School or College story. Something you've seen or whatever. But make sure it includes you.
Damn, I think I've told a few this story on here.
Well I remember it was like summer and shit and I was in this wood working class right before 12th grade I think, so like 4 years ago maybe idk. So were going to go grab a bite to eat at lunch time and were headed to a friends truck to get to the restaurant, when this guy pulls up in front of us and asks for directions.
Random stranger: you guys know how to get to Washington (and some other street, really can't remember exactly)
My friends and I: Naw sorry man (I notice that this guy looks pretty fucking shady and the inside of his car was a mess, he had papers, wrappers, all kinds of trash scattered and shit)
Stranger: aw fuck, I'm lost and we relocated offices and I'm going to be late for work.
My friend Steven: Where do you work?
Stranger: Vivid Entertainment (at the time I didn't know what that was)
Steven: The porn company?that's badass
Couldn't believe my friends were engaging in a conversation with that weird dude. So I stepped back started talking to my friend about getting a specific order for this girl I was trying to get at atm.
My friend Mario: (jokingly says) you got any job applications?
Stranger: no, but you guys could try out for films
Me: wtf? haha whatever, c'mon we got to go
But my friends were so invested in learning more (smh)
Stranger: Hell, honestly they're letting almost anybody join. You don't even have to have a big dick anymore. Guys with only 5 inches are shooting scenes. You guys can easily join
Me:
Stranger: So how big are you guys?
Me:at this point I'm thinking okay my friends are just about to have enough of this and bounce cuz this is weird and gay as fuck, but noooooooo.
My friend Joseph: 6 and a halfwtf? I'm thinking are you kidding me Joseph... after he answered everydody else answers
Steven: 6 and half
some of my other friends: sameThis whole time I'm like yooo I don't wanna be here. Everybody looks at me as if they're waiting for an answer, and tbh I never really measured my shit so I bullshit my answer.
Me:uh... 6 and a half
Mario: (everybody looks at him and he's like chest up and all like...) 7 and a half
Stranger: (bursts out laughing) naw dawg, seriously how big are you?
My friends are laughing at Mario and shit giving him shit cuz they thought he was lying, he was also the youngest in the group so we always clown on him. But Mario seemed serious, but fuck the whole situation was uncomfortably disturbing yet looking back it was pretty hilarious, The rest of the story is crazy but I've seriously just writing too much lol.
#5 How would your MTV Cribs episode look like? Describe us your dream house/apartment.
Shit, I guess I'll start with the cars I would have parked outside my home. Big American muscle car fan, would have a Chevy Chevelle SS 454 and a Mercedes-Benz or a Ferrari if I could ever afford one. I would have maybe a reasonable 2-3 bedroom house, living room being big as fuck, enough to watch sports, movies, and play video games (every console, baller shit) I would have a little studio for one of the rooms, records all over the place really cool atmosphere to record as a hobby. Kitchen loaded with food, like a lot. Bedroom with a bigass bed where the magic supposed to happen with the females. Also a bigass yard.
#6 If you could posses any skill (that is physically possible i.e. real) what would be it?
Damn, I don't know. Probably Composure... like when I'm drawing or playing sports, I get some pretty bad anxiety and my nerves get the best of me so my work and all gets affected. Either that or I'd like to be able to really jump. I'm pretty good at basketball, I have good dribbling/touch on the ball but I can't jump high. I Also love American Football and I was a talented receiver and jumping would have propelled me even further into the sport than I already was.
Spider senses if I could go out of reach with reality though
#7 If you had the choice to time travel for a week, in which time of the past or the future would you go?
Hmm, that's tough. I guess go back in time. I know very little about my Fathers side of the family so I'd like to explore their past and learn. Also watch some past legends that have passed perform live.
#8 How do you like the current state of TR, and what are some of your favorite members and/or memories?
Hate it, I know I'm sounded pretty negative but it's the reality. Shit goes unappreciated. I envisioned an Em studio album release to be great for the site but it's so much the opposite. You would think that getting more members would seem to be good for the small TR community but it's not. I don't think many of the new members even leave the Eminem section. I was expecting the HHD section to finally stay active. Too bad all we get is Stans obsessing at an alarming rate, it's embarrassing tbh as a fan. All the spam and trolls is just unbearable.nah, get them new scrubs away
Not only that, but these gateways man. I seriously have a hard time navigating sometimes. Deleting the cookies doesn't do shit. The site needs help, sad to say cuz I love and care for this piece of shit site.
But you know a lot of love to you Slim, my brother CanadaPure of course, Trex, Hage, Eedee, Trimss, Basedshady, LILB/Big M, EG, Rollefsen, Revolutionary, Miller, Eazy, Spyder, Aone, Menzo, Noob, Lance, 12characters, pk and most of the backstage fam you know, Notalius, there is a lot a people I get along famously with. It's been great here. It's Been Real.
my nwo brothers we outchea, we eatin'
#9 Do you think Guess_Who is freaking hot in real life? How do you imagine her (not that imaging her wouldn't be creepy)?
Well she does have a pretty eye from what I see. Definitely have made the assumption that she's a gorgeous Spanish lady. She's pretty smart, well mannered, could get a bit sassy but Emma is great. Spanish girls in general are great.
#10 Ask me one question and tell me how much you like my magazine (this is my ego speaking, it's not me):
Magazine is fucking Awesome Slim, always a great read; giving us all kinds of insight, advice, stories, interviews. Always fun to go over and gives the chance for people to learn new things and get to know a bit about some members and thanks for putting me on your Fiasco classics, I'm cool now.
Anyway, as for your question. Whats the craziest shot you have ever done? Also gonna sneak in another question but how do feel about your favourite artists falling off hard? I catch shit all the time, people telling me both my favourite artists Em and Lu have fallen the fuck off, I mean c'mon I'm fucking aware of that, smh. I can still still be a fan but no seems or want to understand that.
Slim Fiasco:I assume you mean shit. Well, I’m not the type to do crazy ish, in fact I have never been in a fight and I’m a big bad pussy. However, I’m also a creative witty little fuck so that’s that. Seriously though, I guess something that comes to mind is some childhood ish. Like, on the roof of my building there’s a big ass balcony basically and when it snows there’s a lot of material for making snowballs. It can be rather crowded around my block so once, as kids, me and my friends were bombarding motherfuckers from the roof and hitting all sorts of people, old ladies, hot chicks, fat kids, they all had it. Snowballs from heaven bitch! Speaking of snow, on 2 occasions we had ambushed some vehicles and we almost caused traffic accidents. One of them included a bus so that could’ve been nasty.
As for my favorite artists falling off I will quote myself from a PM to the brother name over at KTT –
"And on a side note, I've become better at managing expectations, or rather being open to surprises and just respect the artist' artistic vision. So in other words, while I may recognize that a certain project is shitty (whether on its own or in comparison to something else), I am now much better at appreciating it for what it is. And with that in mind, I revisited F&L 2 lately, and bunch of other albums too, and I liked it way more than I initially had even though it's still worse than his best stuff.
Plus if you look at it like, F&L and The Cool are still there, they're still great in their own right, and nothing can take anything away from them, it's easier to like the new stuff; because before I used to get mad like something was being disturbed, lol. Same with Em's albums or whatever.
So yeah, basically I am now more open to what Lu has in store for us and I just want to get surprised. And with that attitude, the chances of me liking the new album are far greater.”

It's MMLP2 Time
What can be said about MMLP2? Well, nothing as of yet I guess. I had this nice thread where I advised people on how to manage their expectations in order to increase their chances for liking and enjoying the album so you can check that out - viewtopic.php?f=3&t=163205. Outside of that, from what I’ve heard I can tell you that I love Berzerk, both the video and the song and I hope that it won’t be my favorite track on the album. Rap God may not be a great song song-wise but the flexing of skills is incredible. Of course, that’s the whole point of the track and thanks to Em for taking the time to show people how to motherfucking flow. Survival is shitty but if it turns out to be the worst piece on the album then I’ll be happy. And I guess it’s cool that it’s also part of CoD for it can attract new kids to his music which in turn can help the album and his legacy. Not that it really needs help but you know what I mean. The cover is dope and the whole attitude of Em’s seems to be on point. The blonde hair, the sort of refreshed charisma – it’s all a good look. As for the album and this forum, as I said, I’m not really feeling the hype right now but I don’t want to hate on it that much so let’s leave it at that.

Batman: Arkham Origins
I was expecting Arkham Origins to drop on Monday but it leaked earlier or whatever, so right now I have the illegal copy installed on my PC and I’m enjoying it. Haven’t played that much but it’s obviously dope as fuck. This is mostly meant to alert you to go and cope that. The first games, especially the 2nd were amazing and if you haven’t played those you’re missing on ish big time. The games tie in well with the Batman Animated Series, which is like the greatest animated show ever, for the majority of the actors reappear in the games and Kevin Conroy is the best Batman/Bruce Wayne ever while Mark Hamill (Luke Skywalker) is the best Joker, also ever. So yeah, great fighting system, gameplay in general, animation, voice acting, story, setting – it all makes it very much worth it. Outside GTA these are the games I enjoy the most. Of course, it helps if you’re a Batman fan to begin with.

Become Cooler
This time I will talk about building an ecosystem of positive emotions. What this means is that you surround yourself with things to do and those things will create an upward spiral that will essentially enrich your life and put you in positive moods more often. You probably already know what you need to do in order to have this but a highly possible problem is that you’re being lazy about it. Like, I’m sure that you would all like to have an athletic body and a good diet but that requires a lot of effort so it’s a big pain in the ass. Hobbies play a huge role in this and it’s very recommendable that you pursue yours. In my recent How To Rap Pt. 2 tutorial I am pretty much speaking about principles that can be applied to everything so if you need more info on motivation check that out (viewtopic.php?f=6&t=165230). Also, you should check out my Become A Social Ninja program the link for which can be found in my signature. My ecosystem consists of a good diet, working out 3-4 times a week, working on my music daily, meditation and reading books. Of course, socializing goes without a question. Diet and working out is something that you already have in consideration, substitute music with your hobby, but meditation and reading books is probably not a priority. Since a lot of the info connected with this can be found in the previous 2 threads I mentioned, I will end this with talking about meditation and reading for a bit.
Meditation probably sounds like some mumbo jumbo bs to you but I’m not speaking about any yoga ish or whatever creepy thing that can come to your mind. What I do is spend 20 minutes of trying not to think while keeping my eyes open before I go to bed, each day. In other words it is trying to be present in the moment. It’s hard to not miss a day so that’s bound to happen, and at first you’ll probably lose focus for like 90% of those 20 minutes but it still helps and it gets better. This trains you to cut off thoughts which most of the time are useless and distract you from enjoying life. When one drinks alcohol it’s essentially to plug off their thinking mind in which case insecurities and anxieties go away and there’s room to be happy. However, that comes with side-effects while meditation doesn’t. With meditation you can turn off that thinking mind but still remain in control so to say.
Reading is great because it keeps your mind engaged and makes you smarter, but moreover it’s a shame if you don’t read. Informative books usually contain content that the authors have spent enormous parts of their lives trying to understand and you can have that in a week. Sure you won’t internalize it as good but it’s still very helpful. You can feel like you’re learning a lot when reading articles as short as this but in a book there’s room for so much more. Also, when those authors write their books, well at least if it’s a good author whose works are critically acclaimed, they write from a higher consciousness. They write at their most creative and you get their best self. It’s like TES with Eminem or whatever.

The Reading Club - Flow: The Psychology of Optimal Experience
Flow: The Psychology of Optimal Experience is a book that is also meant to do a lot of good for your life and that connects with what I’ve talked earlier and in those other threads. The book is about the phenomenon of when you’re fully immersed in the moment and that you stop keeping track of time. The times when you feel like your best self and in a way completely free. These times don’t come around often but through this book you can better understand the concept of that optimal experience and learn how to maximize your opportunities to get into that emotional state. If you don’t feel like reading the book at least check this video out - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jE1j5Om7g0U
