MMLP is a reactionary album. It combats criticism whilst elevating the artist to a higher sphere through works of genius like Stan and Kim, simultaneously tackling issues that plague the musical world. It is dark and menacing, yet poignant and humorous.
This track is nothing like that at all. Em attacked Pop-Stars for drawing comparison to him in the original MMLP. Having Rihanna on this album like this was a risky move, but having her on an actual track that is sonically so similar to Recovery is just foolish. She overpowers Em's verses with such a ridiculously overstated chorus.
You really are the most disillusioned Stan on this board. You just cannot see the wood for the trees.
