It looks like MMLP2 dosn't have any concept becuse every song is so different!

That's pretty sad.

Suck my dick Marshall. I know he's changed but he can obviously make stuff like On Fire, Ridaz, Going Through Changes, and others.....that was his last fucking album. But its like he got in the studio and tried to make something more poppy than Recovery. Em doesn't need pop shit to sell a lot of albums.

(excluding Going Through Changes)
Woah, you want Marshall to write songs like On Fire & Ridaz? You're right, Marshall's lyrical miracle hardcore songs are the best. Man now that I think about it why does Marshall ever release albums he should still freestyle in a run down alley down in detroit tbh everything else he does is so poppy and not the real Em

I've probably been listening to Em far longer than most kids on here, and I accept change. I really liked Recovery, but this song is far worse than Recovery stuff.

The choppy flow is far far far worse than any shouting or strange accent he's ever done.

'some dark songs' and some not so dark songs is pointless...

That's any other Em album...

Why even call it MMLP2?... Just tarnished the fucking title of his masterpiece for no reason.

If he thinks 'revisiting the mmlp' is him being angry.. he's always fucking angry, and he always swears and he always insults aimless women and gays... so how the fuck is this any different.

This really IS fucking Recovery 2. Fuck you Em.

He's tried to create a balanced album.

I defy anybody to name a single track on MMLP which 'isn't Shady' or isn't MMLP... there isn't one. This is why it is a classic.

It was fine for TES to be balanced, as it was Recovery...

But how in the fuck is more pointless rambling about fucking fame with a broad introspective spacey hook and hella fused pop pop, pop as fuck backdrop fucking MMLP2?

Fuck you Em. You fucked this right up. Wow.

Dude every artist have the same thoughts that he will express in different forms, like woody allen said. introspective artist will always do this, Bruce, John Mayer....

especially with Em, you can almost match tracks in his 4 albums that talks about the same thing.

You are really closed minded, you made some ideas about what mmlp2 should be and you want him to sound like it, it's new thing.

As someone who has OCD and OCD friends, there's just subtle things you could sense about an OCD person that you don't sense about a non-OCD person. I sense a little of that in Em but I'm still not sure because he has a guarded personality.

This song really hits home for me so I'm sure I'll enjoy it more than most. And it's insane that we have 4 tracks & have no clue how the rest of the record will sound.

Word. I've got it on repeat right now and I love the shit out of this song because I can relate to it so much, especially the hook. It may not be the epic Stan type song I expected, but this song is exactly what I needed to hear today. It's going to help a lot of people and that's one of the key reasons why Em even makes music.

At first I thought you were kind of a douche but your posts lately have been on point & I was wrong.
And I agree, I don't even want to get into some of the shit I've been through in the past 5 years. Songs like this help the pain.

So far this album seems like a crap load of random songs in one. Relapse had a feel and it was great through hole album and even his older stuff was same.

Off these 4 tracks it seems like random all in one.

And btw, this isn't Recovery. This is just Em's voice. It changed as he got older.

Since there's no incessant monotonous shouting, I wouldn't call TM Recovery 2

Kill You wrote:His voice and lyrics are really good. It's really not bad but not a song I will be listening to much after the album leak. I HIGHLY fucking doubt MMLP2 will be anything like this song lmao. This is the single song as I keep saying and everyone is just having a spazz attacking screaming "Recovery 2!" as if they've heard MMLP2 lmao.

You guys are gonna slip shit when the album leaks and it's great.

When I buy an album I listen to it as an album. I don't buy it with the intention of skipping songs. I play the MMLP all the way through (minus the Ken skit) and I love it.
But this song has already damaged this album for me. It simply cannot top his first three with this and survival on it.

Seriously, I don't understand the whole 'it's just one song' attitude.
Why should Em wait 3 years to make an album, tell Rolling Stone he hand selected the best songs, and then place this on the album (when it clearly does not match Berzerk or Rap God sonically?) and then claim he is revisiting his Magnum Opus.

I am sorry, it just rings of desperation and an unfortunate miscalculation of where the rap game is at now.

I am listening to All of the Lights now and vibing along because the hook, the verses and the production all work beautifully.
This track has 3 ok verses ruined by shit production and a ridiculously overpowering chorus.

Calm down lol it's not Recovery 2 at all or that's what he would have called it.

He called it MMLP2 because it's where he's at now, just like MMLP1 was. You have in your head an idea of what it SHOULD be that I think you're missing the bigger picture.

No, it's not about the tracks being about the same thing, it's not about subject-matter.

It's allllll execution and mindset.

This mindset IS 'Recovery' and so is the presentation of the music.

He raps about different shit on MMLP too, it's not about that; it's about carrying a theme throughout an album. He seems to not be able to commit to this since Encore.

And MMLP is not some random album; it was a massive concept album and a huge statement on censorship... so a song about him overcoming odds and helping kids through a struggle... how in the holy fuck does that make 1% on a sequel to that?

MMLP is very precious. This song is generic and he could have made it 3 years ago.

It's not new, and it's totally forgettable - musically... Jesus fuck.
