This.

I do like the song and all but if I had to option to choose between having it on the album or not, I probably would not pick it. It's still a good song tho.

Em deserves every bit of hate from hip hop that he gets for this shit, and if the album is this level overall, oh fuck.

All his singles were considered poppier by the standards they were released in hate to break it to you. The fact that he realeased Rap God before the album came out is actually kind of impressive. I just hope the monster is the only one like it on the album, its good for what it is, and the lyrics are awesome. but its out of place on an album called MMLP2, sound wise. Obviously hes not just going to retread his steps, but he could have done this concept without the overly poppy beat. the concept fits to me, the sound doesnt.
" Life can change your directions, even when you ain't planned it
All you can do it handle it, worst thing you can do is panic
Use it to your advantage, avoid insanity manage
To conquer, every obstacle, make impossible possible
Even when winning illogical, losing is still far from optional.." -T.I.

I think it's pretty obvious what Eminem sounds like now and there's really no need to wait until the album to judge what he's done.

It's Recovery 2.0, only worse.

You can't have balanced opinions on this site.

You're either 100% on Em's nuts all day or everything you say is looked at as bullshit.

I don't even know why we discuss anything here sometimes.

Might as well close the board and put "EMINEM IS BEST EVER" across it and leave it at that.

That's all anyone here is trying to talk about anyways.

Just because someone criticized eminem it means he is beatching about em?

So... Criticizing eminem = pathetic bitching?

I dont understand eminem.
If he wants/must make a radio song he could make a good one too. Even with Rihanna.
In the time of the eminem show and mmlp1 he got played at the radio without goning pop. He had songs like Stan, Sing for the momemt, trss... That were songs which were great AND got played at the radio, too.

Radio songs dont have to be shitty or poppy!

Shaggy.. you really just said SFTM and Stan were considered pop? No they fucking weren't.. when he says songs in his catalog were poppy he is talking about shit like Just Lose It, My Name Is, The Real Slim Shady, and shit like that.. Those songs were his poppy songs.. Fucking Stan and SFTM.. I literally had to shake my head at this. Radio play doesn't make it pop..

Sing for the Moment and Stan are beautiful works of Hip-Hop art.. no fucking way they're or ever were considered pop music. This shit y'all try to make up to defend The Monster is insane.

At least with those songs you could hear the things he was saying clearly and he still at least had clarity. His voice is fucked now and always overpowered by the beat.
