"Survival" actually fits really well.
This album feels like a play, like it's structured in Acts...
The first 4 tracks feel like Act 1, which he ends in a flat and off-hand way with the 'just kidding' line, then "Survival" storms the fuck in to pick it up and it works really well.
"Berzerk" fits absolutely perfectly and the album enhances it within the album, it sounds so good here; like it's a piece to the madness puzzle.
"Monster"... I still wish it wasn't here but I'm amazed at how it doesn't ruin the album... it's because this album is so musically diverse and there's a lot of singing and sounds going on... so it doesn't feel like some odd break in pace or tone. It actually works. I'm shocked.
This is a really really strong album. Which is structured excellently.
The only thing I'm annoyed about it thinking those bonus tracks will be genius and that they could have potentially... or one of them could have replaced 'monster' and elevated it a little better.
I actually wish he had just made the standard album a double and added a few more tracks. Then just went all out with like 10 fucking videos.
