"Berzerk"...

Postby EminemBase » Oct 31st, '13, 13:32

Has improved big-time for me personally.

Initially it seemed like a quite kick-ass but somewhat disappointing 1st single...

But when played within the album it feels like a perfect piece to the madhouse puzzle. I think the placement of this track and how it sounds within is absolutely 10/10.

I see people rating this track hella low too... total opposite for me now.

I still wish 'monster' wasn't there but even that fits within. Rubin's oversight for structure >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>

Berzerk is sonically amazing.. His lyrics may not be GOAT status but listen to how complex the beat is. FEW rappers can ride the beat as well as Em does.

Get some good headphones and really crank Berzerk and just focus on the sound. It's a phenomenal song IMO

^ Yeah I heard the shit in headphones and within the album... it sounded fucking amazing.

The whole album is musically amazing I think though.

For the first time ever when I first listened to an Em album I was more :O wtf @ the music in an amazed way than I was his lyrics... the shit just felt/feels so large and creative.

The hook is definitely one of Em's best!
I think the 4 singles fits perfectly on the album tbh!

I can say the same about Survival to a certain degree. I hated Survival because it didn't sound like it would fit the concept, but it actually blends into the album really well and is a perfect set-up for the beast mode track that is Legacy.

Survival is still one of the weaker songs, but I like it a lot more now.

I loved Berzerk since the moment it came out, but after a while I stopped listening to it... I got tired of it I guess. But now when I listen to the whole album, I never skip it, it really sounds amazing. I absolutely agree with the OP. If I loved Berzerk when it first came out now I love it 10 times more. As for The Monster, this track is still terrible for me but I admit it fits well too. The only song that sounds out of place is Survival, even though I like it much more than The Monster.

Pretty strong single.

To Em's credit, he did manage to come close to capturing that goofy single vibe I felt from his older stuff.

Yeah Berzerk sounds better when you listen to the whole album, I always liked it though.
Fuck top five, bitch, I'm top four
And that includes Biggie and Pac, whore
And I got an Evil Twin
So who the fuck do you think that third and that fourth spot's for?
