"Baby" is literally some of Em's best rapping ever. I'm actually trying to catch myself tripping before I declare that it actually is his best in trying to think of times where he's rapped better but I'm struggling... it's a fucking NICE concept and would have elevated the album yet again.

After Em saying the label were trying to flip him to do Recoveryesque shit... it's so clear that 'Survival' and 'Monster' is what he compromised.

Stupid fucking label exec cunts treating art like product development again.

"Baby", and "Desperation" (replacing 'Monster') and "Groundhog Day" should be on MMLP2.

well they have to sell deluxe editions some how most of the time deluxe cd's bonus tracks are not the best. just replace the ones you hate with something from bonus and make a playlist :P

The Bonus songs are songs that didn't quite make the cut.. but that's USUALLY because the label needs songs like The Monster and Survival to make the cut..

You can pretty much see that in each Eminem album bonus list. Interscope is just so evil with it's artists..

I put value in how the album is presented TO me, that's the initial experience I have and what is solidified to me and in my mind as 'the album'... I don't like this 'make your own' shit...

May as well just release 20 tracks as mp3s and do that then.

I actually thought the bonus tracks aside from Baby and Groundhog day were lackluster as fuck. I like them, but they don't fit the album anymore than anything else did.

Okay, yeah, Baby got fucked over. As much as I love Survival and I think it fits the album nicely, it would have been just as good as a deluxe track. Everything else, I'm glad it's on the bonus tracks. The Wicked Ways verses are amazing but the beat and hook are shit. It would have ruined the cohesiveness of the album. Beautiful Pain is just okay, imo.

What about GroundHog Day? I think that could have beautifully replaced Asshole.

And Desperation would have replaced Monster so well.

No, I know man. I'm never one of those guys who likes to alter albums, I prefer just gritting my teeth and baring through it and accepting it as the piece of art it's presented as. I actually thought "The Monster" fit in well

The bonus cuts all feel musically unique and bold like the rest of MMLP2

Baby is a throwaway. Pretty good raps, but nothing that should be on the regular version. Monster musically is better.
