The most underrated song on MMLP2.

Postby therapist » Nov 1st, '13, 00:43

I have to go with Survival.

I understand that a lot of people have walls up against this song. I mean, it was the first complete song we received from Em in 3 years. We were expecting him to blow us away on the first song... little did we know what he had in store for us...

Me personally, Survival was much better after hearing the whole album. When listening all the way through it is perfectly placed. It actually has a really great message behind it, and the multi-syllable rhymes are great.

" I can see the finish line with each line that I finish - I'm - so close to my goals I can almost pole vault over the goal post... and If I don't got enough in the tank - maybe I can just siphon enough - to fill up this last can, man will I survive in this climate or what?"

Great song. I am still waiting for people to change their minds on it. Could be a classic.

I would say Monster which cohesively fits with the rest of the track list and flows correctly I know a lot of people don't like rihanna but this song is better than love the way you lie imo.

I also agree on survival if u listen to it with out looking at it as a cod song its a decent anthem song.

The Monster.

Survival is good, Asshole has a trash beat, but The Monster is really good and is overhated.

This album is perfect. No bad songs.

The Monster and Survival were meh at first, but eventually fits perfectly on the album. Survival is okay for me now, but The Monster is fantastic.

And Asshole is great :flutter:

i changed my mind on it, it was initially, meh, but in the context of the album, it fits perfectly with the concept.. it got hate initially because it was the first track he released for a few years and everyone assumed, em was still in his recovery phase. but yeah, dope track :y:

I agree with everything yall have posted. The Monster is a great track, some of Em's best articulations... too bad people can't see past the voice of a pop star.
