I think he did Stan's voice (not the song, the person) perfect.

The vibe in which he raps and the vibe of about half the album feels like MMLP.

It's more like Stillmatic compared to Illmatic. There's elements there but he didn't try to copy at all, he tried to expand, and succeeded IMO.

Yeah, but we don't know how he did it. I know that people have said Em does all sorts of thing for his vocals, like plugging a nostril or something to alter the sound so he could have plugged his nose for those lines. Imagine him performing that live with his fingers pinching his nose shut lol.

Doubt it, there is an interview from 2009 where he does the under the influence voice perfectly imo.

I think the only reason why it doesn't sound exactly like from Desperados is because it was Matthew "impersonating" the voice or Em didn't wanted people to think it's sampled lol
