Kdot is compared to Pac, not to Eminem and it's better like that since Eminem isn't considered as an undisputed goat like Jay, Nas, biggie and pac

And there's a million of us just like me
Who cuss like me; who just don't give a fuck like me
Who dress like me; walk, talk and act like me
And just might be the next best thing but not quite me!

You know whats the difference between eminem and other great rappers?
His longativity.
Em came 1999 in the game and he ist still here.
He was 2000 at the top of the game and now 13 years later 2013 he is still one of the best.
Em, Jay-z and nas are the ONLY one with that longativity.
I mean 2003-6 the game and 50 were at the top, 2006-9 T.I and lil wayne were at the top.
2010 Kanye was at the top. But NONE of them is still near the top. They all kind of fall off.
But em he is STILL here.

And now the wuestion:
Do you think kendrick will still be at/near the top after 13 years?
I dont think so.
Jay-z is the best!!!!!

the last albums celebrated in hip hop were MBDTF, GKMC and LIG, I'm talking about albums praised by both hip hop fans and critics.
Can Eminem do that with mmlp2 ? his fans might enjoy the album but it doesn't mean that mmlp2 will be celebrated in hip hop like sslp, tes and mmlp

Nas is still hold in higher regard than Em, can't see mmlp2 being more praised than Life Is Good

Ugh. Yall are missing the point. My question is WHEN is the envelop of hip-hop going to be pushed as far as Em pushed it again. Smh. Never said anything about someone being like Em or even trying.

I get what the OP is saying. He's not saying, the next Eminem in terms of what you guys are thinking. He means, in terms of influence on a generation to the level and extent Em did back in 2002. That same level of genius, creativity and all, while that rapper is being himself as well. To be honest? Everyone else is saying no, we'll never get another rapper like that but in my opinion, I believe there is. Eminem is not a deity where he's untouchable. Eventually there'll come a young upstart who has the same spark he did. But if he IS rapping, one thing is for sure. Nobody knows of him yet, he'd be on his come-up right now as we speak.

i dont think it can be, where else can it go?, i think its dead now anyways, mainstream wise, when ems generation of emcees retire, thats it for hiphop, kendrick wont be able to hold the fort and expand it, hes an acquired taste anyway

I can honestly see Kendrick having the same type of career as Em. Prime, downfall, revival etc. and he's probably one of the most artistic and best rappers since Em. So maybe career-wise, yes. But in terms of content, No. There can only be one Em.

Not that the "top 5" means anything but for what it's worth Eminem makes the list more often than Jay Z and if Pac and Biggie hadn't died they wouldn't be SHIT right now. Yeah, I said it. There is nothing classic about any of Pac and Biggie's music anymore. And yes, I've heard it all. It's all stupid and thuggish and the bars are nothing more than mediocre.

Seriously??? Just about any credible list has Eminem in the Top 10 and some Top 5.

You really think Jay is greater than Eminem???

You're talking about Life Is Good like it's a classic, homie it's not. It's a good album, but Good Kid Maad City is a better album, that one will/is going to be considered a classic. MMLP2 is every bit as good as LIG, that album had 1-2 songs that were whack too man.

MMLP2 is like Ems Stillmatic, a great sequel and follow up to the original but not a classic obviously. Oh and Em still has 1 more classic than Nas. Just saying....
