Here, Em undoes all that in a halfassed quest to reclaim the demonic verve of the first Marshall Mathers. But there’s no joy in it, no real playfulness, none of that old wonder at the things that words can do. It’s soggy, bilious, rancid, way too impressed with itself. Em was once rap’s giddiest, most inventive stylist, and now he’s a sad echo of a long-dead self. So listen to The Marshall Mathers LP 2, in its 80-minute endlessness, as endurance-test noise music. Or, better yet, don’t listen to it at all."

That dude had his mind made up before even listening to the album.

"No joy in it -- no real playfullness" :facepalm

Berzerk, So Far, Love Game, are about as fun as rap songs can possibly get.

Seriously.... the guy is a fucking ass face. Even Em's enemies (Spin, Entertainment Weekly) couldn't deny how good the album is. Shit...fucking KTT is raving over the album.

Just another hipster faggot trying to stand out. Pathetic. :coffee:

ktt ? that's why IANAHB2 is getting more voted than MMLP2 in a poll as we speak

 Comments from stereogum.com website.

"It’s a sequel only in the most superficial ways, without any of the energy, excitement or wit of the original.

If it’s some sort of bizarre fuck-you directed at those who were clamoring for Em to do what he used to do, rather than doing something new and exciting (which is what old Em was doing), then it damn effective."

"I’m a little surprised that so many people thought this album would be decent — I guess the title set up false expectations? Aside from his verse on ‘Forever’, Eminem hasn’t been relevant for about a decade now. I would much rather listen to lazy, rich-guy Dad-rap from Jay-Z at this point, which is saying something.

The biggest disappointment here is Kendrick’s silly verse, which tarnishes his impeccable 2013 run worse than that lame Robin Thicke track."

The fact that ktt votes in favor of IANAHB2 over. MMLP2 just shows how retarded they are, no lie. Cmon son, the albums actually getting good legit reviews, Ems greatest classics only got solid reviews.

Em's impersonation of you in R&R was amazing.

And yeah, KTT is composed of retards and trolls (Almostility is a great member of TR, though).

Kanye is great, in my opinion, even with Yeezus being shit.

Theres always certain words shitty reviewers use that show they had a Bias to begin with. Whoever wrote the review on that gum website is so full of shit, its kind of impressive.

Also the people rating Yeezus higher than this probably shouldnt be writing rap reviews to begin with. Or hop off kanyes nuts that too.

The fact that you need an other opinion to prove what you want to say just shows that you're pathetic and so is your music taste.

I could write an essay on why I think you are a hipster who just rides what's hot but I'm not in the mood ~

The only thing dope about Kanye is his production and that he doesn't make the same album twice, ever. But as an emcee.....c'mon man. Listen to Forever again, and then tell me who came correct. Nuff said.
