I hate how biased Wiki articles can be against Eminem
Go on Kanye's album pages, and any of his with metacritic scores of 80 + have the above write-ups, yet Em's just say 'generally positive'.

It's because 60-79 is supposedly generally positive.

I feel it should be this. Anything under 50 is negative reviews. 50-59 is mixed. 60-69 is generally positive. 70-79 is positive. 80-89 is acclaim. 90-99 is universal acclaim.

Well College Dropout achieve 87 and got 'universal acclaim' or words to that effect.

Overwhelmingly positive would work well enough.

I wouldn't read too far into it. MMLP and TES only scored in the 70's and they're fucking classics.

No one is going to tell me Kanye's bullshit is better than Eminem classics. According to critics, WTT is better than any Em album since his first three, and Yeezus is better than any Em album ever.

Yeaaaaaah. Okaaaaaay.

I'd rank em:

1) MMLP
2) Eminem Show
3) College Dropout
4) MMLP 2
5) Slim Shady LP
6) 808s and Heartbreaks
7) Graduation
8) Yeezus
9) Relapse
10) My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy
11) Recovery
12) Late Registration
13) Encore

I like the first nine, toss up between 8 and 9, and toss up between 12 and 13.

disagree.

MMLP has better rap songs but mbdtf is just a better album, it's easily one of the best albums in any genre. It's almost up there with the classics from The Rolling Stones, Sex Pistols and The Beatles.

Personally I dislike that album very much but the album is so well crafted that I can not dispute what the ranking of his record was.

No way man. Lets not forget they're rap albums. MMLP is a better rap album, I can't even wrap my head around a supposed head saying otherwise.

How the fuck did 808 get so overrated??? Shit was autotune garbage half the time, I'm sorry.

they are not just rap albums, they are albums.

MMLP isn't better than 3 Feet High and Rising just because the rapping is better. Yeah kanye isn't a better rapper than Eminem but he made some of the greatest albums ever released in music.

It's not just about rap.

MMLP is artistically and conceptually better. By MILESSSSS.

The only place MBDTF wins is production value... that's IT.

MMLP is eons and eons beyond MBDTF and a piece of art. Not just rap.

The three greats and my ratings, personally. Kanye isn't a great, sorry Kanye stans. Guy is elementary and is like an average or below average looking bitch who hides behind her makeup 99% of the time. You should see what I'm getting at.

THE CLASSICS
1. Marshall Mathers LP = Illmatic
2. Reasonable Doubt
3. Eminem Show
4. Blueprint
5. Black Album
6. Slim Shady LP
7. It Was Written

The Very Good
8. In My Lifetime Vol. 1
9. Stillmatic = MMLP2 = Hard Knock Life Vol. 2
10. Life Is Good
11. American Gangster
12. Untitled

The Good/Solid
13. Life and Times of S. Carter Vol. 3
14. Hip Hop is Dead
15. Gods Son
16. Recovery
17. Streets Disciple
18. Relapse
19. Blueprint 3

The Decent and Average
20. I Am...
21. Kingdom Come
22. Encore
23. Magna Carta Holy Grail
24. Nastradamus
25. Blueprint 2
\
Like I said, IMO.

Kanye is the most overrated artist in hip hop. Good production with garbage to average lyrics. He's someone real heads definitely don't swing on so hard homie, just to let you know. I'll give Kanye this, and it's something Eminem and 2Pac have in common too......Kanye never makes the same album twice. That is a testament to who he is as an artist, and even though I don't care for his music at all aside from a few tracks here and there, he's a million times better than Wayne, Drake, 2Chainz, and these other mother fuckers.

When Eminem is getting 75-80 scores on albums, you know the album was fucking good. It's no classic but its Ems Stillmatic and that level. Especially taking into account the deluxe songs.

Ems classics score in the 70's. EYou can usually add about 10 points or so to Ems critic scores and thats what they SHOULD HAVE been.
