I wish he kept the tone of the Bad Guy epilogue throughout

Just the words he thought to use and how he worded his sentences, it's some prime Em shit.

I also wish he went more on the topic of how people believe he's a washed up rapper now and how he should just call it quits.

That fucking fast paced beat as well. His flow here was excellent, if only he maintained it throughout the album. I think this might just be his most poetic song/verse ever, sitting right next to Kim and Stan.

"But in my head there’s a voice in the back and it hollas
After the track is demolished
I am your lack of a conscience"

Crazy flow here - reminiscent of TES.

"I’m the polyps on the back of your tonsils
Eating your vocal chords after your concerts
I’m your time that’s almost up that you haven’t acknowledged
Grab for some water but I’m that pill that’s too jagged to swallow"

Beautiful writing.

"‘Cause Marshall Mathers the rapper’s persona's half a facade
And Matthew and Stan’s just symbolic, of you not knowing what you had until it’s gone
‘Cause after all the glitz and the glam, no more fans that are calling your name
Cameras are off
Sad, but it happens to all of them
I’m the hindsight to say, “I told you so!”
Foreshadows of all the things that are to follow
I’m the future that’s here to show you what happens tomorrow
If you don’t stop after they call you the
Biggest laughing stock of rap who can’t call it quits"

If only he discussed this more throughout the album...

Tragic portrait of an artist tortured
Trapped in his own drawings

Yeah but also...

When he's Matthew and says "It's just me you and the music now Slim, I hope you hear it!" - his music feels ALIVE again; this sounds totally animated and well-acted, just like "Stan".

Part of me wishes the rest of "Bad Guy" had this feel... as the preceding verses feel almost like how a regular rapper would do them aka just descriptive pretense of live... but in a way that kind of separates it from "Stan" and only serves to emphasize the bit of voice acting/live track bit.

That part of Bad Guy is insanity. I think it should have been split into two songs. The first being called Matthew or something, the last part being called Bad Guy with 3 verses of that kind of flow.

The song as a whole is great but the first 5 minutes feel like one big set up to the last part. Such a great flow, beat, some of the most self aware, inspired, honest writing he has in his entire discography.

What a beast verse.

The whole album would have been a snooze-fest with the same flow tbh.

Would have been Relapse all over again.
Predominantly, predominantly, everything's always predominantly
Predominantly white, predominantly black
Well what about me? where does that leave me
Well I guess that Im between predominantly both of em
I think if I hear that fuckin word again Imma scream
While I'm projectile vomiting, what do I look like, a comedian to you?
Do you think that I'm kidding?
What do I look like some kind of idi- wait a minute, shit, don't answer that..
