OK so this is a true story. my favorite Eminem album used to be encore. when i first got into him, i bought encore first. i personally loved it. looking back, i see its flaws and stuff, and its not that great, but i still have a weird personal liking for it ever since then. then i found the rest of him, and got super obsessed and then you know hot it goes

The thing is that Em got me into Hip Hop, so I wouldn't listen to Dre if he wasn't for him.

Me too, but I'd like to think that if it wasn't Em, somebody else would've introduced me to hip-hop, it could be Dre or Pac or Nas... Dre's two albums are absolutely amazing, top 10 albums for me to this day, so I think that even if I heard them before SSLP, MMLP and TES I would still become a hip-hop fan.

No, that album is considered a classic rap album by 99% of rap fans. The production is masterful. I'm a huge Eminem fan, but I'd rather listen to Chronic 2001 than most of Em's music.

Eminem kind of ruined hip hop for me. It was basically the first hip hop shit I heard and it set the bar so high. Like what am I supposed to do now? I go into hip hop songs expecting them to blow my mind and when they're meh like some of Dre's I just can't appreciate it. So listening to Dre after Em just means I am under-impressed.
