Well MBDTF and gkmc are about on par. Both modern classics and both in a different league to MMLP2.

As a cohesive work of art, MBDTF does not compromise one iota. MMLP2 is compromised, like it or not.

There are a few duds on MBDTF. And a "shitty" pop track called All Of The Lights. But neither song is actually shitty, just proving that they both have that "pop" single on there. Kanye is quite average on the album as well. Good music but I like MMLP2's music much better.

Although I was surprised Em could still make this album, GKMC is one of the best albums of the past decade imo. It's a lot more cohesive than MMLP2, doesn't have shitty pop tracks, and Kendrick takes you on a real dope trip through his life. It's an example by how an album should be made.

GKMC is a 10/10 album.
MMLP2 is a 8/10 album.

But still MMLP>GKMC though.

That's the thing. GKMC was more cohesive but MMLP2 had better songs to me. I feel like if MMLP2 told a story throughout the entire album like GKMC, it would have been one of the greatest albums (not just hip hop) of all time. Tracks like "Beautiful Pain", "Groundhog Day", "Bad Guy", "Stronger Than I Was", "Legacy", "Brainless", and "Evil Twin" are incredible tracks by themselves - better than the individual tracks of GKMC. "Sing About Me/I'm Dying" is an excellent and profound track but its not fucking with "Bad Guy" or "Groundhog Day". But as a whole album, GKMC is executed better in my opinion. I do enjoy MMLP2 more though.
