Good Kid Maad City is a classic. MMLP2 is a very good album.
But GKMC isn't better than TES or MMLP. Not by a long shot.

Not to the same extent, but definitely in the same vain as MBDTF for Kanye.
It's cohesive, soulful, whilst still being raw and uncaged. It has everything a hip-hop head wants, and something for the hipsters. GKMC is, IMO, the album Eminem never made. I feel like Eminem - if he had that concept - would have destroyed a conceptual album about his rise to hip-hop stardom.
Just think:
he opens with a track where he is meeting Kim,
has tracks like Legacy thrown in, maybe something like ground-hog day...
