Album is called a classic by most all, and it scores a 75....c'mon son

If you don't like Em or love when something goes against him as an artist, why join a site about him basically???

Only sslp and mmlp are called classics by most people. Tes is only classic for the stans

Yeah.....alright. A lot of people saw TES as a growth as an artist and is regularly included on top albums of the decade lists, as well as some of the top 500 greatest albums of all time lists man.

Chicago Tribune didn't even know what Bad Guy was, he obviously wasn't listening too closely or shouldn't be reviewing albums.

COS review felt more like a 4/5 to me, but a 70 is still good for Eminem. Critics have always underrated him.

It opens with “Bad Guy,” in which Eminem kills his psychopathic alter-ego, Slim Shady

:facepalm
Eminem also recycles his own past: “Legacy” reprises the formula for “The Marshall Mathers LP”-era hit “Stan” with introspective rhymes tied to a female vocal hook

LMAO, I didn't know that was a "formula".

Yo, will that Chicago Tribune rating affect its Metacritic score? 'Cos that was the dumbest shit I've read in weeks.

XXL and The Source should give it a positive rating. What else? I know some magazines stan for Em but can't remember which ones.

Fuck the Chicago Tribune. If they're too stupid to bother to listen to the lyrics, their review shouldn't count. I'm not upset because it's a negative review, I'm upset because it's clearly a heavily biased review that couldn't even be bothered to pay the bare minimum amount of attention to the lyrics.

But 3.5 is 1.5 points away from 'perfect'...

I mean, do you really think MMLP2 is .5 away from perfection?

3.5 is a really good score out of 5, and fair / right in regards to MMLP2 I think.

Lol @ 'brushing TES' off, TES is total brilliance and Em at his musical peak.

It's not the work of art MMLP is, but it's twice the musical accomplishment.

Whoever wrote this review, so far, sounds like a retard. Not for that comment by the way, just in the way they're communicating their thoughts and how they analyze things lmao.

I can't believe he thinks "Legacy" is 'horrible'... well, to each their own.

Yeah, I do believe it's .5 away from perfection.

Comparing it to his old albums is stupid in a way, what made the original MMLP perfect doesn't necessarily have to be in this one to be considered perfect.
His 1st 3 albums are all classic for different reasons, too.

We should compare it to what's been out the last 5 years, music changes and the way we rate each "period" should change as well. I think if we look back at what rappers have put out the last 5 years, this is without a doubt a top 5 release.

Well it's not stupid to compare it to MMLP.

Since Eminem chose to title it that and knew it would create those comparisons. He basically begged us to compare it; and when you compare - you're comparing the end effect and quality, not each individual element of his rap style. Which makes sense.

MMLP2 is a good album, not a classic I don't think, but it may become one... it's still too early to say for me I know any way. But it's the type of album which grows; it's very dense.

There are lulls however. Headlights, whilst still shining with Eminem’s strong lyrical-rhyming ability, sounds fairly staid, and too ‘simple’; it’s a clear album-filler.
