""all that misogyny and homophobia that lurks throughout his lyrics has always been problematic""

:facepalm :facepalm :facepalm :facepalm :facepalm

It's not incidental, real expression you fucking IDIOTS.

It's fucking irony and character-play, and provocation!!! Jesus, fuck.

'problematic', like it's something Eminem the person is struggling with, LOL. That's like saying the violence in 'Pulp Fiction' is like a flaw of Tarantino. Jesus.

They talk about it like Eminem stumbles it out like it's incidental, internal, real thought @ the homophobia... god, these fuckers should not judge shit they don't even understand.

"" Eminem has been mocking the humourless critics who take what he’s saying entirely seriously ""

The irony. After he's just done this! Lmaoo.

I don't get 1Lyng.

He says no no no Artist Direct who scored a perfect 5, even though I disagree with that, won't be counted on metacritic. Then he proceeds to list a couple negative one from sites most people have never even heard of. The legit sites that are either counted or legit places like Boston Globe or NY Daily News, the only negative review so far has been the Chicago Tribune, who always give him negative reviews, and didn't even know what Bad Guy was.

Fuck the Chicago Tribune. If they're too stupid to bother to listen to the lyrics, their review shouldn't count. I'm not upset because it's a negative review, I'm upset because it's clearly a heavily biased review that couldn't even be bothered to pay the bare minimum amount of attention to the lyrics.

But 3.5 is 1.5 points away from 'perfect'...

I mean, do you really think MMLP2 is .5 away from perfection?

3.5 is a really good score out of 5, and fair / right in regards to MMLP2 I think.

Yeah, I do believe it's .5 away from perfection.

Comparing it to his old albums is stupid in a way, what made the original MMLP perfect doesn't necessarily have to be in this one to be considered perfect.
His 1st 3 albums are all classic for different reasons, too.

We should compare it to what's been out the last 5 years, music changes and the way we rate each "period" should change as well. I think if we look back at what rappers have put out the last 5 years, this is without a doubt a top 5 release.

top 10 with luck

I really don't understand how Em didn't get XXL for the lyrics. Magna Carta got XXL lyrics. Don't get me wrong, Magna Carta had great lyrics but not better than MMLP 2's.

Fuck XXL. There should be a petition to appeal that score for his lyrics.
MMLP2 is arguably one of the most lyrical rap albums of all time.

ALL TIME.
