The Source is going to review it too, and Billboard too. Those could be positive reviews. :y:

The Metacritic score is up now. 78.. I was really hoping it would go past 80, though.

Would anyone actually want to set up a movement?

I don't care about it being XXL or XL overall, but that score for his lyrics is offensive to the work he put.
No one is writing to his level, except Kendrick perhaps, and even then I cannot find anything in GKMC which is as poetic as the last bars on Bad Guy.

MMLP2 is arguably one of the most lyrical rap albums of all time.

ALL TIME.

It is, the lyrics are just nuts. He concentrates so much on rhymes, but unlike on Relapse where he was rapping randomly on MMLP2 all of his lyrics seem to have purpose.

It's not over yet. It could reach it. There were 28 reviews for Recovery and that was 3 years ago. Even though Pitchfork is probably going to have a very negative review.

Me too because that's ridiculous that lyrics get only XL while goddamn Jay-Z got XXLOL what a fucking joke. Arguably, the lyrics on this album are some of the best he's ever had.

I really wish there was this convention in journalism where you actually had to ruminate on your written work before you published it.

From my experience, most of these reviews would get ripped to shreds in an academic setting (even some of the more positive ones).

Pretty disheartening to see that this is what passes as publishable work.

Hey everybody, reviews have been pouring in at the MMLP2 Metacritic page! The current score is 78 - this makes *MMLP2* tied as the best-scored album on Metacritic with the first *MMLP*! Both have 78 (although I remember MMLP once having 79, until another mixed/negative review came in a year or two ago or so). In comparison to his more recent projects: Relapse has 59, Recovery 63, and Hell: The Sequel 72 (but with a rather low number of reviews calculated). And also ... it's better-scored than TES (75)! Then there's also Encore, with 64, and The Re-Up, his lowest-rated project, with 50.

Guys look at it this way, the album will still be rated XL even if they gave lyrics an XXL.
