"The worst offender here is Rap God, six minutes of Eminem rapping in a dizzying blur without a single quotable to be found."

Totally disagree with that.

One which immediately pops to mind is "see if I get away with it now, now that I ain't as big as I was..." which is a very MMLP-esque, tongue-in-cheek little expose of the hypocrisy in censorship by scope...

Eminem is still easily huge enough to be being heard by millions, but he's no longer the true man of the moment which every paper is obsessing over in the same way / he's not as big; so he's no longer a true, valid media scapegoat. This line sums this up beautifully / fact that he rapped the line beforehand which had previously been blanked when he was bigger.

There's tons of quotables too, like this

"Me? I'm a product of Rakim, Lakim Shabazz, 2pac, N-WA..."

Smooth as fuck too; another which pops to mind: "Well to be truthful the blueprint's - simply rage and youthful exuberance, everybody loves to root for a nuisance" < eloquent and witty, and relevant to his persona on track. Fantastic writing.

"Em claims this is "a sequel to my Mathers LP / Just to try to get people to buy." "

No, 'Matthew' shouts that as a mockery to Em. Em isn't claiming it is, he knows that people will think it is so he's addressing it / taking the piss.

EminemBase wrote:""all that misogyny and homophobia that lurks throughout his lyrics has always been problematic""

:facepalm :facepalm :facepalm :facepalm :facepalm

It's not incidental, real expression you fucking IDIOTS.

It's fucking irony and character-play, and provocation!!! Jesus, fuck.

'problematic', like it's something Eminem the person is struggling with, LOL. That's like saying the violence in 'Pulp Fiction' is like a flaw of Tarantino. Jesus.

They talk about it like Eminem stumbles it out like it's incidental, internal, real thought @ the homophobia... god, these fuckers should not judge shit they don't even understand.

"" Eminem has been mocking the humourless critics who take what he’s saying entirely seriously ""

The irony. After he's just done this! Lmaoo.

fuck da critics
