Now by now I'm sure everyone here as heard the many rumors and speculations that upon returning back to the rap game Eminem has been 'subliminally dissing' several popular artists, more commonly those of which he collaborates with himself.
Many people say he disses Jay Z and/or Lil Wayne on Seduction, some say he rips Wayne on Drop The World/No Love, and some people defend to this day that Em roasts all three of his rapping comrades on Forever.
Now, I've never really believed this and most of you guys on here probably have dismissed this theory over time as being nothing but a Stan's wet dreams. I agree. I wouldn't say Eminem is 'subliminally' going at these artists, especially when he considers them to be 'dope' (And I honestly think he means that. To him, they are good.)
Anyone remember these lines from Not Afraid?
'you said you was king, you lied through your teeth,
for that fuck your feelings, instead of getting crowned
you're getting capped'
Many people support up and down that this is a Lil Wayne diss. From the bling on his teeth to him self-proclaiming himself the king of rap (or something to that extent). This was probably the most talked about line when it came to these 'subliminal disses'.
Which brings me to this theory/coincidence that I noticed on Evil Twin on MMLP2. I noticed it on the very first listen on the song because it was too blaring to not pick up.
'I done quit chicken heads in cold turkey and started slowly roasting 'em
Cause that's where most of my anger is based
Fuck your feelings, I feel like I play for the Saints
I just want to hurt you, aim for the skanks'
Here he is again using this 'fuck your feelings' statement and this time he mentions that he plays for the Saints. I'm not a big Lil Wayne fan so I don't know what he talks about in his music (besides pussy and what not) so I wouldn't know anything other than the fact that he is from New Orleans, (New Orlean Saints is a NFL team).
So what are the odds that he does this? Just think about it. And to add to that, he immediately says that he wants to hurt you to tie in the joke. Could the surrounding lyrics add more to it? I doubt it. I doubt this is even a diss. It's probably just a odd coincidence. What do you guys think?
