I thought there was a fair bit of filler/uninteresting lines on the album.

The pitchfork review kind of sums up how I feel, but I'd rate this album a little higher than they did.

" dragging his biggest competitor Kendrick into one of the worst songs of his young career" - Pitchfork :(

I thought love game was an awsome song but people keep saying that it's the worst song Kenrick has ever jumped on. the hate for Eminem is unreal :(

Pitchfork's got such a hard on for hating Eminem, and 1Lyng is having a circle jerk any time the album gets a mixed or negative review, nevermind that the majority have still bee positive.

No, it wasn't.

It's basically them saying "we don't like it so we're giving it a 4"

brazen homophobia lmfao.

Have you noticed pitchfork writers happen to write a lot of nonsense as well?

"The only salvation for a lot of these songs is Eminem’s alchemical control of rhyme and diction, but even that can be a liability."

alchemical?

"Eminem and Rubin are not a match." Even tho the album itself proved that they are...I bet they wouldnt write this had Rubin decided to sample some more...oh idk DARING and INNOVATIVE songs that APPEAL TO THE MASSES sorta like he did on *cough* Yeezus *cough*

if you dont like the production and concepts thats fine but at least appreciate the experimentation that went into this album and depths Em had to go to to make it all work.

Totally unconvinced by Pitchfork's praise for Em's first three albums. What I find disappointing in the review is the extent of focus they have on how they believe Eminem's stance on things are.

I'm surprised you agree. MMLP2 is by no means a classic, but I can't see how even Em haters could give it below a 3/5. It's dope for the most part, aside from a few things here and there.

I'm surprised they don't think Em making songs like Rhyme or Reason, So Far, Love Game don't show his ability to make different sounds.

Well thats because your music taste sucks..

Are you still upset that I said MBDTF and gkmc are better than MMLP2?

If you think that's bad taste in music then you're a moron.

I'm not the biggest Kanye fan, so I've never been able to understand how a hip hop album with shitty lyrics or average at best lyrics could be a hip hop classic.

""It also revels in its predecessor’s worst behaviors, bandying about misogyny and gay slurs as if Eminem’s conciliatory 2001 Grammys performance with a pink polka dot suited Elton John never happened."""
