Kendrick was great but if you actually think he overshadowed Em's second verse, you're a fucking retard.

A lot of people and critics thought he was the highlight of the track, and I don't disagree with that. Eminem's first verse was easily the worst verse on that album

tbh I downloaded the kendrick only version that the SmokingSection uploaded a few days ago. The last Eminem verse was good technically but he was terribly out of place, that beat was definitely not made for him.

I fucking miss the old eminem, he knew how to make a song back in the days.

kendrick made that song listenable, that's for sure. and Rihanna is also the reason why The Monster was listenable.

You think lyrics like 'if it wasn't for blowjobs you'd be unemployed', or 'getting sick of these girls girls girls, oink oink oink, you fu*kin pigs, all you good for is doink doink doink', or 'the day you'll be me, pigs'll fly out my ass in a flying saucer, full of ITALIAN SAUSAGE' are remotely good, clever, or funny? like, seriously? And these are not isolated moments...there are plenty of bad lines on the album. And also, Rap God is lyrically mediocre. It needs to be said. People are quick to praise the song because he's rapping fast and rhyming big words together...sorry, but you need more than that to achieve GOOD lyricism.

Why is MCHG lyrically inferior? Jay's second verse on Holy Grail isn't good? Picasso Baby? Crown? Nickels and Dimes? Oceans? MCHG is certainly not a GREAT album, but the hate it gets is completely unwarranted.

MCHG was on par with mmlp2 but you're on a shady forum dude, don't spend your energy on stans.

The day Em makes something 'on par' as MCHG is the day I stop being a fan.

Word, how can any true rap fan actually believe that shit?

Mchg was NOT on par with MMLP2. It was his worst album since Kingdom Come. And MMLP2 is as good as American Gangster, if not better.

And I been bumping Jay since before you kids had laces in your shoes. Jays had 1 good album, 1 decent, and 2 weak mediocre albums in 10 years.

2 albums that are very different but the same in terms of how I feel about them. Both are ok albums to me. They have high points that prove that those rappers have earned their place. But both also display the results of them compromising their art. I also think both albums show the neither artist can really innovate at the artistic level. I can't really vote one over the other. Em has better flows , but I find Jay's lyrics much more clever and entertaining . Both are disappointing in what I wanted from them, but I was not surprised or shocked by what I actually got.

I give both mchg and mmlp a 6 tbh

MMLP2 is along the lines of Life is Good and Stillmatic. Its as good as LIG, and resembles SM in the sense its a very good album, not classic but a worthy follow up to the original.
