Baby Bonus Track

Postby KaRtLiDgE » Nov 7th, '13, 12:22

Does anyone else think Baby sounds like a Relapse era type song? The beat, the flow, the rhyme schemes, em's delivery. Obviously without the accent.

Imagine if you heard the song a month ago. You would immediately think it was a Relapse 2 track that leaked.

Anyone else feel the same?

it's not relapse-esque. maybe the super smooth flows but that's all that really resembles that era. everything else about the track is reminiscent of his migration from MMLP to TES

edit: imo

Souns more like TES era song.
"So one last time, I'm back, 'fore it fades into black and it's all over, behold the final chapter in the saga, trying to recapture that lightning trapped in a bottle twice, the magic that started it all...tragic portrait of an artist tortured....trapped in his own drawings..." - Bruce.

2002 sounding shit right here :
"Only bull you should take is by the horns, a mixture of Whitey Ford
And Mighty Thor, I everlast, pen is mightier than sword
Finish writing then record, replenish keep writing more
Nothing's riding on it but your pride, that's all you're fighting for
So you fight, scratch, you claw, backs to wall, no one was there
To catch you fall, you pick yourself back up, you dust your jacket off
You grab your balls, like they're gargantuan and ask yourself

And flash it on 'em, nobody's gonna back you in the corner, you're a hornet
No one's more ignorant then you fucking four in the morning
You're at the laboratory, storming like there's nothing that's more important
MC's you better consider this a formal warning, you're in for it "
RESPECT MY AUTHORITAAH

Eminem could have made a motherfuckin gospel record and we'd still be trying to make comparisons. :P

I think it's pretty damn original

It's raw and it's like the least sentimental track on mmlp2, also it's an eminem beat, so it sounds a bit older.

Baby is one of the top tier songs on the album hands down. I love that menacing hook too. And that third verse, especially the first few bars, he just straight murdered the beat.

Yup, it sounds so fresh and I really cannot imagine it being on Relapse or any other album besides MMLP 2.

I think this is straight off the Relapse 2 disc man.

Clicked in my head since first listen.
