I thought that fake line about the coloring book that was circulating a couple months back was humorous, but I'm ultimately glad he didn't say anything about it because there's enough controversy already. I thought I wanted Eminem to be seen as edgy and controversial again, but it's just fucking tedious and irritating. It was fun to see Em earn the wrath of nutjobs like Tipper Gore and Lynne Cheney. These PC types today are such dull people that there's no fun in annoying them. It's just boring.
If you were in elementary school when Columbine happened, I find it had you could process or understand the heights of his controversy from 1999-2002, given you were elementary or middle school at the time. Being in high school, seeing the effect he had on people and teenagers growing up, man you'll never see something like that again.
There will never be an artist that came and took the fucking world by storm the way he did, never again. It was like the perfect storm.
