The fact Em is writing more obsessively than ever, endlessly, 24/7 is awesome.
Feels like he's entering a new phase in his life, where he's got the drama and his home life under control and now it's just going to be straight hip-hop obsession going forward.
Which is a fucking relief. Because I honestly think his personal shit was dragging his craft and his content down; it fed the first three nicely, but then even on TES you could hear that balance beginning to tip, but he just about got it perfect... but then on Encore - it tips.
Relapse, he pulled it back, and it feels like Recovery was the last all-out 'personal dump'; MMLP2 is actually not that personal, it's more-so like his first two in the sense he's fictionalizing himself and exaggerating and just relying on life as a light fuel as apposed to the driving force.
Good signs of things to come.
