Then I heard SSLP and I realized just how alienated I feel from this album. It's a great piece of work, but I guess...just not for me? Let me explain. I feel little personality here (all in my opinion, sad that I have to even mention that to pacify some), too many guest hooks and samples, and did Nate Reuss have to be autotuned? All this makes me feel like I'm trying to fall asleep and I start dreaming then something makes me jump awake again and realize exactly what's going on. I feel like it's a bit lifeless, although the emotion is behind it, it seems clinical. But my biggest problem so far is the lyrics, as I mentioned above. The punchlines just...make me cringe. And there are more and more every listen. I think the problem is the lyrics aren't thought provoking, not satirical, and that's ok because it's obviously what Em wants to do now. It's just not what I and many other fans grew to love in the first place. Old Em gave you a visceral reaction, made your neck hairs stand up and you weren't entirely positive if he was ever joking or not. I still give it an 80-85/100 as of right now but I'm not even sure I would put it above Relapse, let alone one of his classics like some have mentioned. And don't bring your hate bullshit in here, let's just discuss if you are also a bit underwhelmed so far

Relapse sucked.
