SSLP - nostalgia = a decent shock value album.... the fact that it was Em's official start, i think, puts it up on a pedestal.
When I say decent, I mean decent for Eminem. SSLP is still miles ahead of anything else released during that time except maybe Nas (imho)
The only thing keeping this album down a bit is the choppy flow gets a little crappy at times, a few lines here and there are weak, and there's 2 weak tracks and 1 iffy track. But still, it's a very good album.
It's just his 3 classics had no bad flows, no real weak lines, and no weak tracks.
Nas was releasing his mediocre shit during the time of SSLP.
