The Real Eminem Prime

Postby EriCartman » Nov 9th, '13, 12:06

2 options.

2000- Eminem. Biggest Star in America. Biggest Album in the world. Controversy never seen before. Out of this world shock value. Slim Shady taking over the world. Blonde hair, wife beaters and white T-shirts. Reaching Elvis status, sales wise and yall know the story... The BackWard E became a simbol. Stan, The Real Slim Shady, The Way I am .. Em became Americas Anti Hero.

2002 - Eminem. Biggest Star in the world. Pop Icon. Another Classic Album dropping. The man is on a role. Now they even sell Em's looks. The Masterpiece was followed by 8 Mile. That further cemented Eminem as the rebel who caused the evolution of rap. Now people even started liking him. He was the most popular person in the world. Literally the Justin Bieber X Lady Gaga of the new era, popularity.
Lose Yourself marked that whole fucking year.

What do you guys think, when Eminem is all set and done, which time period will be considered the Ultimate Best Year of his career. The Peak of Peaks ...
I am gonna go with the second one. :8)

Like I sad man, I think that too.
But whenever you read or watch something about Eminem it is like = MMLP the height of the heights as Eminem goes, his peak bla bla .. ( You know how they describe the year 2000 ).
But when it comes to 2002, they are just like = He followed with another great album ( Not as good as MMLP ) and a hit movie, and thats all they have to say ...

It doesn't get the props it deserves just because the lack of shock value on that album.
If they made VH1 behind the music they would describe his career like this.
Coming Up 30 % of the Show ( Rap Olimpics , SSEP)
MMLP era 50 % ( Stan, Elton John LGTB ..)
TES, 8 MILE 10 %
Encore dissapoitment and Comeback = rest of the show...

It all depends on what your definition of prime is. 8 mile was his peak. But 2000 and 2002 was Eminem's prime. It doesn't matter which one was better because it was both those 2 years. After that it was all downhill. He's making a living off of his reputation from the past.

2002 was his artistic prime. 2000 was his "rap" prime.

He is in a new prime in 2013.

2000 and 2002 were both part of his prime. 2002 was his peak, IMO.

2000.

When he wasn't held back by the fame and said whatever went through his head.

Trapped in his own drawings

But in my head there’s a voice in the back and it hollas
After the track is demolished
I am your lack of a conscience

I’m your time that’s almost up that you haven’t acknowledged
Grab for some water but I’m that pill that’s too jagged to swallow

Three last tracks though... Without them would be the greatest album of all time.
