FUCK, i just listened to RELAPSE

after mmlp 2, and it sounds sooo fresh, and unique compared to his other projects. he is not trying to please any of his fans. its just him delving into this crazy persona and telling stories and rhyming his ass off. its like Em was in this zone during relapse. the songs are more natural and come off as less forced.

idk mmlp 2 seems to be more enjoyable in first few listens and he seems to be a better rapper. but as an album, relapse as an overall project just edges out mmlp 2. idk im not too sure about my opinion.
maybe its too early. have to wait and see how mmlp 2 ages with time.

He did not compromise and that is good. Dont mean we the fans gonna like it and i guess that is what some Relapse fans fail to realise. The album is good but even Eminem himself understands how the accents, jokey nature and overkill on serial killer content can be tiresome. Its highs are beautiful (Same song and Dance is a GOAT track) but after Medicine Ball, Must be the Ganja, Stay Wide awake... it just sounds so repetitive and hollow.

I like Relapse, But it's so overrated on this forum, It's a decent album just like MMLP 2, Nothing special.

Relapse is fantastic and so is MMLP2. I'm not 100% sure which one I enjoy better because I love both albums. I like Relapse for the cohesion, storytelling, and production and I like MMLP2 for the songs, lyrics, and variety.
