Relapse was not the fucking greatest masterpiece ever because that statement implies that not only was Relapse the greatest album ever in Hip-Hop (which is wasn't by any means) but it was also the greatest album in music (fuck no). Musically and artistically speaking, I can name one album which takes a massive shit on relapse even though it is from a completely different genre of music: Slow Riot for the New Zero Kanada by Godspeed You, Black Emperor!. That album is a fucking masterpiece in composition, structure, music, art - fucking everything. It is easily one of the greatest pieces of music I have ever heard.

..I enjoy Hip-hop much more than post-rock though. I fucking love hip-hop, i'm addicted to that shit but i don't know, something about godspeed you's EP is beyond legendary and classic for me. That EP is such a masterpiece that even exceeds the limitations of the any genre categorization. Anyway...Relapse is overrated as fuck on this forum in the context of hip hop, let alone music in general.

As far as pure rapping technique goes, comeback Eminem is the best.
Overall song quality suffers though.

Gotta be 2002 yo.

2000 is by far his most thrilling and creative period...

But 2002 was like the perfection of all the elements - the music (lyrics, flow, production, hooks, themes, balance of personality and persona's), the presentation (consistent visual themes), live performance (amazing energy, passion and precision)... just everything at once.
