Shiiiiiiit. Relapse had Crack A Bottle and Beautiful (which is far better you guys give credit for), which sound absolutely nothing like the rest of the album.
Nobody is saying you have the exact same sound...
But to have something like "Bad Guy"... and then "The Monster"...
That' SUCH musical conflict that they may as well be different albums.
MMLP has an overall sound but do the songs all sound the same? The overall sound comes from a handful of producers working towards the same musical goal... as apposed to what Em has done with Recovery and MMLP2 - pick and choose random beats.
Tracks don't need to sound the same, just come from the same musical family. "White America" realistically sounds nothing like "Without Me", but they feel like they belong together. Feels like one album of music.
