MMLP2 - 8.5/10
Relapse - 6/10
Recovery - 5.5/10

Relapse gets 6 because of the large amount of bad to offensively bad material (bad being like Insane or Bagpipes, offensively bad being Old Time's Sake or Underground), and the wack lines. Recovery gets 5 because when it's offensively bad, good god is it awful, and when it's just bad, it's Relapse's offensively bad.

Insane is one of the highlights on relapse for me. He's literally losing his mind on the track. So great

i think mmlp2 was his best ALBUM since his comeback but fuck, relapse was rapping wizardry at its finest. A fucking clinic from top to bottom. The inner workings of a serial killer put in hip hop form that was so genius that i think it went over a lot of peoples heads t the time but will be appreciated more and more as time passes. Medicine ball and its 3rd verse with the Christopher reeves pun still gets me every time. Refill was even better to me.

Recovery sounds so forced to me and didn't sound like he was having fun with it. It sounded like he was conscious of the "bashing" of relapse for the accents (which still gets me confused as how it was annoying, he was playing a character to me, shrug) But songs like seduction, cold wind blows, no love and so bad was vintage em to me that reminds you why he's top 5 dead or alive in the booth.

MMLP2 delivers on all accounts with him getting back to his witty lyricism and undeniable presence on record. My absolute favorite moments were the final 2 minutes on Bad Guy, The yoda reference on Rhyme and Reason and obviously Rap God, which other than Kendrick's verse on control, has to be without a doubt the biggest moment in hip hop this year. Still were some parts that didn't sit well with me , mainly the lack of Dr Dre. Its become a staple to the Eminem experience the past 15 years and it was sorely missed on the project. The bonus songs validated the project to me.

All in all the one thing i think i would love to hear from em in the future that he was absolutely golden in and was the best of all time at was his immaculate storytelling. Songs like my fault, kim, stan and guilty conscience displayed his impeccable role plying ability that he hasn't dabbled in that much since his return. Also, i need him to be "that guy" again to have the single that says everything thats on peoples mind that they don't wanna say and stir things up. Kind of like a social commentary on the current state of music , pop culture and politics only the way he does best.

just my .02

Good songs on Recovery in no order (imo, and some better than others) = Cold Wind Blows, 25 to life, Almost Famous, Cinderella Man, Going Through Changes, No Love (Em's verse only), On Fire, Ridaz, Session One, Untitled, Youre Never Over, Not Afraid, LTWYL (In it's own right), WTP, So bad, and I even like Spacebound

Bad songs = Talking to myself, Seduction, Wont back Down

I'm curious of your guys opinion on my list. I really don't understand the hate for Recovery. I think it's Em's second worst album and it's not even bad but that's only because the other are so great..

Good songs on Relapse (in no order) =

Hello

Same Song and Dance

Medicine Ball

Stay Wide Awake

Old Times Sake

Must be the Ganja

Deja vu

My Darling

Careful What U wish for

Underground

Beautiful

Bagpipes

3am

Insane sounds good but I don't like the content at all..

..Good tracks on Refill

Forever (Em's verse only), fucking killed it

Hell Breaks loose

Buffalo Bill

Taking My ball

Music Box

Drop the Bomb on Em

notable mention that Em's verses on Psycho (with 50) is dope..

Really don't get the hate on either Recovery or Relapse.. If you hate the accents I guess I understand but I actually LIKE them (for this one album), it was different, and the beats are sick.

Wack job in the back in a black stocking cap
Jacking off to a hockey mask at a boxing match
(He can't say that!) Yes he can, I just did, faggot

Love me some Underground... Really don't see how you can defend Insane (a song where I've literally seen a girl sternly tell my buddy to turn that song off), but hate on the lyrics of Underground
