Album with best Artwork/Packaging?

Postby Kenneth Kaniff » Nov 12th, '13, 04:14

Which album do you think has the best artwork?
I'm not just talking about album covers either, I mean the art throughout the booklets, on the CDs, etc.

Tough choice, I voted Recovery. The cover, branding, and all that, we're most my style. Recovery was the most clean looking one, all the others look incredibly amateurish in comparison, but perhaps amateurish works best for Em's style. Second place was MMLP, I loved the minimalist disc, and the iconic cover. I hated the handwriting font used for the single covers though.

I liked Relapse too. TES and Encore were very uninspired to me. HTS looks like someone was going too try hard in photoshop, I hate textures for the sake of them. SSLP has by far the worst cover.

In terms of booklet photography, Encore trumps all.

He does a great job of capturing the mood of the album with the booklet. Marshall Mathers was great, so was Recovery, but I voted for TES. I liked how he kept up with the theme of the album. To be honest Encore was really well done too, but uh...the disc wasn't all that great.
