I don't think he's the greatest pure lyricist. He's the greatest story-teller and has the best overall flow of all, but pure lyricism...man there's some killers out there. Immortal Technique at times, Aesop Rock esp. on Daylight. Vinnie Paz esp on the first two or three JMT, etc. The underground thrives on lyricism

Vinnie P is good but he mainly only rhymes syllables at the end of his sentences, immortal technique is a great politcal emcee with a vast vocabulary, but his rhyme schemes are pretty basic. i listen to tons of underground emcees and probably the closest to em imo his ra rugged man, his flow and wordplay is dope as fuck, but he tends to get a bit samey for me

Great video. I've watched it a couple of times before, really makes you appreciate the song writing which most people don't think about.

The video itself didn't really teach me much more than I already knew, but it made me appreciate Lose Yourself again. I think because people played it so much, they might forget how fucking well made this song is. In terms of writing/rhyming, this is Eminem's masterpiece. The last 8 bars or so of his first verse are absolutely bananas.

EDIT: And this was a single too. Like, honestly, who could produce this type of lyricism and you'd hear it on the radio nowadays. This is one of his best songs and it got played everywhere.
