Eminem needs to fix his mixing.

Postby Trilla » Nov 14th, '13, 00:31

One of the biggest problems on the new album. He needs to raise the volume on his voice, because I can barely hear him on Groundhog Day, as well as Don't Front.

It's a shame, some really great lyrics as I'm currently listening to GD, but the beat overshadows them and I can barely hear shit.

Holy shit, is that Till I Collapse shouting voice? Shiiiit.

Tragic portrait of an artist tortured
Trapped in his own drawings

But in my head there’s a voice in the back and it hollas
After the track is demolished
I am your lack of a conscience

I’m your time that’s almost up that you haven’t acknowledged
Grab for some water but I’m that pill that’s too jagged to swallow

Through 100 dollar headphones I hear this album loud and clear. But the bonus tracks, I feel the mixing is a little bit off. But it's probably my "sound OCD" (is what I'll call it) getting the best of me and just looking for something to be wrong. I'm big on quality. The main album is fine, mixed perfectly. Bonus disc is so-so but it's good enough.

Rick Rubin and Dr. Dre thought it was perfectly fine enough to release as the MMLP2... but I'm sure you know more than they do

Great minds think alike. Really I'm not sure what it is, its just the bonus CD sounds slightly off.

You cannot tune an album to sound good in stereo systems AND ipods. Most people will be listening to this through headphones... in which case treble always prevails.
