Eminem did say once in an interview that sometimes he'll mention someone or something just because it happens to rhyme.

That was clearly a lie though, especially given the people he was referring to at that time.

Surely they're relevant to him because he's well aware of them but I don't think there's a big meaning behind all the names he mentions.

In "Bad Guy", Matthew mentions "Stan" who happens to share a name with the second character in Guilty Conscience, perhaps Matthew is his bastard son. :shifty: :shifty:

In all seriousness though, I swear I hear Stan's girlfriend's scream in the background throughout the track. Is anyone else hearing that?

I don't think it was a diss though.... why would he include Violent J in Wicked Ways?

Well he literally followed it with lyrical/miracle shit so it could be for the same thing.

Maybe "lyrical/miracle" was a reference to the ICP song Miracles, which he mocked in Asshole.

In Bad Guy, Matt says: "You seems to be doing fine, but I never recovered." it means what it means, but also I think it's a reference to Eminem Recovery (the album and the state.)

The cover of MMLP2 is a reference to the cover of MMLP, I think it's the same house possibly.
