I think that Skylar Grey , Tyler the Creator and Violent J line is weird because of Skylar and Tyler more than Violent J. He's an underground Detroit rapper in the horror scene, I'm sure he was influenced by old school pre Jive Records ICP and Esham as anyone else in the horrorcore scene. You can even hear it on SSLP when he talks about drinking faygo and fucking fat chicks on As the World Turns.

But...I feel like Skylar doesn't fit into it at all and Tyler is really an Eminem fan so it's weird to say he's a combination of people including someone who raps like him(without the skill).

But either way, I think referencing ICP at all is a shoutout to the original MMLP and I don't think he was really dissing them out of respect for that truce Proof organized between all the Detroit artists. Probably just a light jab and play on the internet meme. I wish he'd go after Esham's bitch ass, though. I still believe that's who he was talking about wanting to hit on Difficult...that's all off topic though.

I think the second verse of Monster references My Darling,. Using the Devil voice along with talking about the way fame affected him...he does this at multiple points on the album and it really adds to the album imo.
