The interview was ok, but nothing really new.

It wasn't BORING imo, but pretty much the same questions... and about Headlights, why didn't he say YES IM PROUD OF THAT SONG, ITS GENIUS. 'I proud of all my records' - I hate answers like that lol.

Why do you think Em interviews with the same people? Hell, they even brought Big Tigger back for the rap basement. He doesn't do Hot 97's Juan Epstein (except for that one time with Royce), Power 105's Breakfast Show, he stopped visiting Angie Martinez... These are staples in hip hop media. Even Elliott Wilson didn't get a CRWN segment with him through Rap Radar, and him and Paul are in business together. It's pretty obvious Em is a protected celebrity, and considering his stature, rightfully so.

But I also think it's fair for fans to be frustrated and want more because Em is so candid in his music... We can't help it if we want to know more. And he was always so open before in interviews, so when he came back from his drug issues and refused to talk about his family... It sucks because it's not something we're used to.

I remember in 2009, Em went on Jimmy Kimmel and Jimmy asked about Hailie, but he didn't say much, and the bit was eventually cut off from the aired program. I also remember when Em was on Z100 and he flat out said he wasn't going to answer questions about his kids. And even with this interview, the way Zane worded it, he knew Em wasn't going to explicitly talk about his mom and their relationship. But I liked what he said, showing Em our perspective because he's right, we've been on that journey through his music too, a song like Headlights means a lot to us. Like, Cleanin' Out My Closet was a single that got played on the radio, people knew every word to that song. And then he backtracks and apologizes on the new record? That's heavy shit. Listeners are going to be moved and want to ask about it.

On a different note, I'm almost positive that Stronger Than I Was is about Kim now because no one has fuckin' said anything about it. When really, all someone has to ask, even without mentioning the content of the song, is why the fuck he chose to sing 3/4 of that song? Only other time he did that was on Hailie's Song (another really personal song).

But I digress. I enjoyed the interview. Em puts a lot of himself in his music and career, I think we as fans can respect that and enjoy whatever we get.
Don't judge me by my post count.

Especially considering how fat he was. Usually when people lose a ton of weight like that (and in a short amount of time) their skin doesn't look the same

Yup, and his face was huuuuuge back then.

i think he needs to stop living the kmart lifestyle and spend some of his well deserved cash on a top dollar nutritionist, it'll have him looking gleaming, and also just beef his face up a smidgen, (no homo by the way)

If people thought Em was HUGE in 2007-2008, I'd hate to see what they think of truly fat people.

It's official, all Eminem needs to do is add 10 pounds and he'll closely resemble how he looked back in 00-02.

Watch around the 1:30 time mark. When he begins talking about live performances and how there's "things you can do with your hands", he makes the same exact face he would have 13 years ago.

I think him resembling his figure back in his prime would motivate him to once more make that type of music.

Tragic portrait of an artist tortured
Trapped in his own drawings

But in my head there’s a voice in the back and it hollas
After the track is demolished
I am your lack of a conscience

I’m your time that’s almost up that you haven’t acknowledged
Grab for some water but I’m that pill that’s too jagged to swallow
