yeah thats the point hes making though, that punchline his him alluding to the fact that he talks a lot of shit, but he can back it all up.. think about it brah ;)

But the punchline sounds weak in an otherwise grandiose song...

Eminem toned down the "bad" lines on this album by a ton, but occasionally there is that one line that I hear that just echoes in the back of my head and makes me go "what?", nearly ruining the mood.

One bad, average, or whack line doesn't ruin a song at all. Some songs have too many though. See Berzerk.

Yeah i understand what you're getting at, but even so, that section is not ruined for me, its consistently powerful throughout, and i have talked about his cringe lines on recovery, so im not blindly accepting the line like someone who thinks he consistently puts out gold would..

I can honestly say there's no line that spoils a single track on the mmlp2, just the intro of "so much better" is poor to me, and that's mainly cause of the beat and his flow over it

Yeah, the song isn't really ruined for me, either.

I can see how the lines potentially could ruin a song, though.

I liked the opening of So Much Better. The blue tooth and kool aid shit didn't even bother me too much. What brings that song down to an 8/10 instead if a 9 or high for me is two things.....

1. Oink doink pigs line is horrible. Worst on the whole album IMO.

2. The bridge was unnecessary for me. It added nothing to the song and felt like filler for me. I get the fuck it there's other fish in the sea line leads into the whale of a time line, but he could have easily not done the bridge and started the verse different.

yeah i read your best and worse lines thread earlier, i think the "doink doink doink" section was just em injecting some childish humour and its not really meant to be a punch or anything, i still laugh at that, but i noticed your favourite line off that track was "drove to drink" line, which im surprised at because that is sort of a recovery kind of punch, im not bagging on the line, its ok, but i think there's better lines on that track than that one

yes to this :y:

and no the sandwich analogy is not at all the same thing. shit on a sandwich makes the whole thing unedible, every rap song in existence has a bad/lackluster/corny line. People like you are looking for a reason to dislike something.
if a bad line ruins a song for you fine, at least be consistent in your criticism. dont listen to it, one line that is not as amazing as the rest does not make a song objectively bad, it just doesnt. Unless the whole song was lackluster to begin with, and the wack line just pushed it over the edge. No rapper writes gold in every bar on every song, it just doesnt happen.
" Life can change your directions, even when you ain't planned it
All you can do it handle it, worst thing you can do is panic
Use it to your advantage, avoid insanity manage
To conquer, every obstacle, make impossible possible
Even when winning illogical, losing is still far from optional.." -T.I.

The entirety of Bezerk isn't about the lyrical content..
It's about an amazing beat, nostalgia, and delivery.. His delivery over a beat like this couldn't be touched by any rapper. It's a true Eminem song.
