Yep, it has a great Em chorus with a petulant attitude... perfect for MMLP2...

I'ma write out an altered tracklist, see how it looks...

1. Bad Guy
2. Parking Lot (skit)
3. Rhyme or Reason
4. So Much Better
5. Groundhog Day
6. Legacy
7. Asshole
8. Berzerk
9. Rap God
10. Baby
11. Brainless
12. Wicked Ways
13. Beautiful Pain
14. So Far...
15. Love Game
16. Headlights

Yeah okay fuck... that's pretty much perfection to me. Fuck fuck fuck. What's most annoying about this album... there's so much great music but, could have been like another level with some switches.

Why's ''Evil Twin'' not on there?

Well maybe it could be swapped with something or placed better...

But I feel the placement right after "Headlights" is bad...

It makes a lot of sense to end on "Headlights" if that track is to be on the album, then I think it's a closer and nothing else. Because of how shocking it was initially... and given how much he bashed his mom on MMLP1... it makes total sense as the penultimate close to that chapter.

"Evil Twin" is good but... unsure about where I'd place it.

I am not gonna write out a tracklist but if Groundhog Day, Don't Front, Baby, and Beautiful Pain made the base tracklist this album would receive much better reception in the hip-hop community.. and would of made more sense as "MMLP Pt. 2" IMO.

Speaking of appreciation I don't think many people care for it but I actually enjoy the forced set up into the GOAT line on Groundhog Day.

About him being the GOAT eating the blades of grass, and an eighth of that was a path towards your favorite rapper.

I prefer the sugar ray robinson, ladanian tomlinson, muhammad ali lines though.

Ugh. Too good. That Ndamukong reference is so sick. I get so fucking hyped up at these 2 points haha. Actually, both of these are some of my favorite lines on the whole album. The "underdog" line from Baby is awesome too. Same with the "english lit" part and "climbing the fences".

Also another favorite of mine :y:

I think a reason why he has way better lines this time around is because he isn't just constructing punch lines but going back to what he has always done best which was just word play. Just fucking around with normal phrases and bending their meanings, I love that about Eminem and am glad he's "gone back to what he knows best" so to speak.

:y: much better than Eminem's impression of Lil Wayne.

"All I got is bars for your dumbbells, cause yours ain't working out"

I literally only just noticed the 'working out' bit...

Man, that's a fucking tight-ass, perfectly-written trio of puns. He's getting really good at them... I think by the time he's done... I don't think people will say he was never a punchline rapper. He's almost countering the shitness of Recovery puns with the greatness of some of these.

I just think he was so caught up in what made the hot rappers so hot in/around 2010 for Recovery. Like he said he was envious of Kanye West and Lil Wayne. He stooped to their level (in form, I am not saying they're near as good of lyricists) thinking that's what fans wanted.

Relapse getting such bad reception I am sure didn't help because it was so well written. I feel like most people agree even if they don't like Relapse that it has superb writing all over it, yea there are some cringy punchline moments but they fit.

MMLP2 is a vast improvement I think over both in a writing aspect. *Edit: I haven't had enough time with it yet.. but listening to them both I think MMLP2 could rival Relapse even from the technicality of it. And Relapse was pretty complex in most parts.

the 'I'ma socket/sock it to you' line from "Wicked Ways" is brilliant too...

That's a clever format for a pun in not only the socket/sock it line but using the double use of "I'ma..." as in, I'm going to but also... I am X to you... as a bridge to the pun...

The fucking writing is dense.
